I grew up in the 90's and my brother and I remember watching a show that might have aired on PBS.

- It incorporated puppets and real children and there might have been an adult shop owner, too.
- It's likely that all the puppets were rats.
- The setting was a either a bookstore or a train station.
- Each episode seemed to take place after the shop/train station had closed for the day.
- It came on after-school, before or after Reading Rainbow.

I really hope someone can help.
Thanks in advance!!!

I believe Kimberly is right. I looked on Wikipedia and found that you are describing Shining Time Station. I didn't find rats, but I found puppets that look like they could be rats. The series aired on PBS from 1989 to 1993, but it was rerun on various networks and returned in specials in 1994 and as Mr. Conductor's Thomas Tales in 1997 and their last appearance was in Thomas and the Magic Railroad in 2000.

Sunshine Station, or something like that. George Carlin played this little magic conductor. Then George Harrison took over. (or maybe it was the other way around, but they both played it). The shop owner was a Native American dude. There were puppets in the juke box.

Red is right...it was "Shining Time Station" (which starred former Beatle Ringo Starr, and later, George Carlin as Mr. Conductor;this series also introduced the Thomas the Tank Engine stories to American audiences).

I hope this will help. It is a link to all of the kids shows that have aired on PBS. Perhaps you will recognize the name when you see it.
