At that point you will be considered an emancipated minor. It will depend on the laws of your state as to whether or not you can marry at that point.

You may be in the military at 17, but you can not deploy to war until you are 18. It's a fact. You're parents had to sign papers allowing you to join the military before you're 18. You have to have parent's permission to marry under the age of 18, unless you're an emancipated minor. Simple as that hun. Why not wait the few months til you're 18? That's all you have to do.

You would need the written permission of your commanding officer. If you join the military for the sole purpose of getting married prior to becoming 18 yrs old, that is defrauding the government and is a felony.

Sounds like your getting married just to have sex( if you know what I mean) wait until your 18... Its not that far away. Whats the point in rushing to get married anyway? your not even old enough to drink at your own wedding! If its for the extra pay don't do it ...

Nope. Always need that parental consent. Being government issue doesn't change that, but why worry? There are a lot of military relationships outside of marriage.

It's only one year until you are 18, if your relationship can't last one more year without being married, then it wouldn't last anyway. Do yourself a favor, wait until you are 18.

File as a self sufficient minor/self-emancipated minor. After that you're good to go...

how is that gonna work, drill sgt give ya away? seriously, i dont think so, cause she is signing papers for you to go into the military, not giving up parental rights or having you emancipated.
i guess i could be wrong, when my parents signed for me, many many yrs ago, i was not considered emancipated.
