The first step that the world took as a whole towards climate change was the signing of the Kyoto Protocol in Kyoto, Japan in 1997 it think it was... although if you are American your country was far too greedy and self obsessed to sign it like the rest of us.

Remember even the most ardent believers of global warming say the Earth's temps have increased just 1 degree over the last 100 years. That's just 0.01 degrees a year.

As the continental glaciers receded, starting about 12000 years ago, people migrated north into previously frigid and desolate regions. That was their first step. Global warming has been very good for us. You will find that being warm is much better than being cold.

i know the united nations have made some sort of agreement that gas emissions must be lessen by 5% in 2010 or something. maybe that.

First step would be to take the gas away. Then plant alot of trees. I haven't seen them do that yet.
