Heavier the better & quality. Make sure the bottom is thick and heavy, I feel it's better than copper but I'm not an expert & don't have any copper. I know its pretty but I more about performance. Remember you get what you pay for and this is a vessel that is suppose to last a lifetime and probably be passed down for generations. Mine was $70. about 10 years ago. I have 4 pieces now and I don't see much ware at all. Salt will pit the surface if you leave stuff in there.

fortunate you, this time you should apply it to boil water. next time the welded seam may reason a leak someplace and its the end of it. yet another prospect of copper bottom pot is they could be of bi-metal. Copper is a strong conductor of warm temperature, reason water to boil genuine quickly and keep away from skill; back, its the priority of the seam and this time the copper layer may basically segregate and drop off from the bottom of the pot. Use it with an alarm to remind you or a whistle to carry forth then you honestly will be ok. coincidence does ensue each and each of the time.. Ciao and sturdy success.
