I think Pocono deserves to be on the schedule. It's a very challenging track to the teams and drivers. There is no other track in the world that compares to it.

However, I think a lot of fans and drivers would like to see the race dropped to at least 400 miles verses 500 ( I know I would). 500 miles at Pocono is way too long.

On television, Pocono is a decent race to watch. It isnt as boring as some of the cookie cutters, it can produce action.

However, in person, its a very crappy race to see, as you can only see the front straight for any action.

If your gonna go for another race, take away one Pocono date for either Kentucky, Iowa, or if it ever happens, a track in the Northwest. There are 5 races in total in the area right now (2 in Pocono, 2 in Dover, 1 in Watkins Glen)

I still want it on there. BUT I would prefer Pocono to be only Raced at 1 time a season. I would like to see Darlington get the other date. Or Bring Back Rockingham or North Wilkesboro for the other date!!!!

Because it isn't a cookie cutter track I think they need to keep one race there. Two is overkill but it is a good test of the drivers and makes them adapt to a different driving style. I'd add another road course in the chase and move Homestead to one of the Pocono dates. Then I would make Atlanta or Texas the last race of the year.

The uniqueness of Pocono itself makes it deserving of a race. I'll agree that it doesn't need two though. If somebody else would design a similar track (a bit more passing friendly), it'd be great to see NASCAR move one of the dates.

Well, they keep it on the schedule because it's the only draw for the New York market. $$$, my friends. Btw, I'm from Jersey, so tailgating and stuff with my friends is always fun at a race, and Pocono's the only track that's close enough to do so. So...keep it for now, and hopefully they build one near NYC in the next century.

The owners of the track do, and the local governments because it is a source of revenue.
The drivers like it because the three unique corners are a good test of their skill
The fans who buy the tickets do, because they pay good money twice a year to see a race.
The fans who like to see their drivers show off their skill on a very unique track do, because when a favorite driver wins at Pocono, they know that their driver has passed a difficult test.

Pocono can be a very boring race and not a very good track to go to because you can't see anything. I don't really care, but good in a way because it's the closest to my house

The races at Pocono are important for that region of the country,my only problem is they are too close to each other.
Personnally one should be dropped and the date given to Nashville or Kentucky.

Not me! There's no reason Pocono needs two Cup dates. I think it at least needs to be cut back to one date. There are lots of more exciting tracks than this snoozefest. Rockingham, Kentucky, North Wilkesboro, just to name a few.
