I'm wondering if there's a way to create a bootable disk without wasting a CD. Obviously I could use CD-RW. But lets say instead if I want to save an ISO to a place on my hard drive instead, and then have BIOS boot from it automatically, is it possible?

Also, maybe a way to boot off a USB flash drive?

CDs are cheap. What's the problem?

I don't think a flash drive would work because you have to load the driver to make the flash drive work, and you wouldn't be able to load the driver before booting.

Your loading to a special place on the hard drive is interesting, but I'm not sure if it can be done. Isn't that kind of what the computer does normally?
