There is no possibility of passing anything on from the vaccine, as it is a split virion vaccine. This means that it is a split virus. Even if your immune system was very bad, it would be practically impossible to become infected.
The primary side effects from influenza vaccine, if any are felt at all, is localised mild pain at the injection site which should not last more than 48 hours.
Many misconceptions exist about vaccines. Because of the decline in infant and childhood vaccination in the west, we are now seeing diseases re-emerge that were completely controlled.
"This is a purified, inactivated, split virion (split virus) vaccine each 0.5 mL of which contains antigens representative of the following types:
-A/New Caledonia/20/99 (IVR-116) (A/New Caledonia/20/99 (H1N1)-like) 15 μg haemagglutinin per dose
-A/Wisconsin/67/2005 (NYMCX-161B) (A/Wisconsin/67/2005 (H3N2)-like) 15 μg haemagglutinin per dose
-B/Malaysia/2506/2004 (B/Malaysia/2506/2004-like)"
One of the best things you can do to help yourself is take your temperature. If you are afebrile (no fever), it's probably quite safe to safe you are infection free, unless of course you have taken antipyretic (anti-fever) medication like paracetamol (called acetaminophen in USA).

The symptoms of the flue jab are quite minimal and certainly not infectious. Most people suffer a few aches and pains, a feeling of a slight cold manifesting by a cough or runny nose, and a mild lethargy. These symptoms will improve. I suggest that you get on with your day and try and not to think about it.

you definatly can pass it on . i just got back from the dr.today & there s some kind of 'crud' going around. if u have it a few days only,it's a virus & if it last over 10 days, it's an infection, unless u have a weekend immune system & it takes longer.
if you don t feel able to work i'd really think twice about it. i'm not gonna tell ya what to do,just that u may be contagius, are you fevery? this is usually when u are most contagius!
i had a bug & ear infection & upper respiratory infection. i think the latter may can be passed on, it started w/a cold, then sore throat & got to where i couldnt get rid of it !

Nooo, stay home! You definitely don't want to risk spreading your flu, especially in the midst of flu season!
