When you feel that your life is a wheel within a wheel..no that's not it.

There is no direction. But there is a moment of insight that you know you are on the right path. It is like sunlight all around you and you can see the landscape and the history of the spot before and after your time. And you've discovered your place of belonging and perhaps even your sense of purpose. But it is only a purpose only if you take some action. For if you do nothing with that you'll have to wait until that moment comes again. Until that time be the best person you are where you are at. That ordinary path of being is it's own sense of belonging and purpose. And I suppose that ends up the way for most people in life, including yours truly.

If it's clear out make a sun dial with a stick to determine north, or if it's night use Polaris to get your bearing. If the path you're on is not leading you in the general heading of where you want to go, then you're on the wrong path.

There is no path. I make my own paths and if I discover they lead me in the wrong direction, I change my course. Nobody really knows where their journey is leading other than the grave. It's what you do while on your journey that matters, and even then, for only a short time.

Just trust your intuition. When your "gut" is telling you to go a certain direction, then do it, no matter how wrong others may seem to think it is. You are the path to your own destiny. You will know when it is right.

you'll know you're on the right path when your the one forging it.

well worn paths are easier tho, trampled and smoothed out by a billion feet, a pleasing deity, dogmas all in place, rituals at the ready, plenty of company to tell you how to walk, what to think, how to pray, peer approval, enemies in common, afterlife rewards guaranteed, just follow the rules. yep... a lot easier. not original, unique or yours... but easy.

What is "right"? All the values of "rights" and "wrongs" face decacence nowadays, so it wouldn't matter whatever you do as long as you pay tax and stay within the law. For instance, me, I'm an atheist. I don't fear hell. Even if I was wrong and hell DID exist, even if God himself appeared RIGHT in front of me, I still wouldn't believe God or fear hell. I refuse to do against what I believe no matter what the result is. My heart is firm. I don't know about being "rightuous" but for sure I do assume that I know that I do as my heart leads.

When you trust God for what He said. If you want to know God you are being led or counseled to. It is against the nature of man to want to know God, according to the Bible. If you find yourself wanting to know Him, and wanting the peace with Him that He offers, you are on the right path.

You make it certain when you tell Him that you trust Him, and claim that His Son died for your sins, and that since He was resurrected, He will resurrect you, that's His promise.

This is what Jesus said:

John 3
17 "For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but to save the world through him. 18 Whoever believes in him is not condemned, but whoever does not believe stands condemned already because he has not believed in the name of God's one and only Son."

If you're talking about your spiritual path, which is your life's path, you wouldn't know. You'd have to have your personal spiritual Master, who knows you and is waiting for you to wake up to the real possibility of God's existence, to guide you and tell you what to do.
