We use chlorine to keep the spa clean; have tried bromine but I itch terribly for days. What is a home remedy for itching & suggestions for ? converting the spa to salt water maybe?

For the itching, the best thing you could do is take a shower, go rest, and DON'T SCRATCH lol.
now about the chlorine, there are many people who don't like the feel of it, so what they do is make it "oceanlike" that meens instead of chlorine you create a steril water environment using salt. This is not as simple as just pouring salt in the water instead of chlorine, try and get a professional to do it.

Rinse off with regular water after sitting in the spa. Chlorine is bad for your skin and causes the itching when it dries on your skin. I just hop in the shower afterwards and just rinse off. Use a good lotion with Vitamin E and aloe so you don't over dry your skin.
