Busch should have stayed. The kid just needed some time to mature. But its all about the money and Jr is going to make Rick alot of money. Like he needs it.

You guys gotta remember, Kyle is more than 10 years younger than Jr. If you guys think that Jr. would have been as mature as he is now at Kyle's age you're crazy.

Jr. is a good driver, and COULD be better than Kyle at the time. But Kyle's got nothing but time on his side. When all is said and done, Kyle will have better career stats than Jr, barring some catastrophe. It's not that I like him better, it's just obvious by looking at their stats right now.

Did HMS make a mistake? Probably not, as Jr. brings an insane amount of popularity and money along with him. He's also a very good driver. HMS wouldn't have really been any worse had they stuck with Kyle Busch though..... It was a win/win either way.

I HATE, HATE, HATE Jr. I really don't like him and I hate him going to Hendricks. Having said that, I think it is good business. He is the biggest name in NASCAR next to petty and big E. It is good for both Hendricks and Jr.

I agree that he shouldn't have dumped Busch. he should have dumped that loser Casey Mears. What a dud!! Busch is uglier than a mud fence but he can race a car to victory. Casey won 1 whole race the entire time he has been with Hendricks. Do the math.

I will still throw my slippers at the TV when I see him, and I still think the 24 and 48 are the best 2 teams on the track.

No, even though I will give you that Kyle has more driving talent. I think Jr will be a better fit personality and driving style wise. Kyle likes an extremely loose race car, much like Smoke and Deny, and his data did not transfer very well to the 24, 48 and 25 cars setups. I think BOTH teams will benefit from the changes. We will see if Jr can get back to his winning ways with better equipment.

I think HMS made the a mistake by dropping Busch for Jr. just because of the talent that Busch has shown throughout the few years he has been in Cup. But on the plus side, it adds to the strength of the JGR lineup. Since they helped Tony get to the point he is at in his career, I'm sure they will be able to help Kyle win a lot more races and even a few championships.

Kyle would never have beeen as successful at Hendricks as his higher profile teammates. He made the right choice by moving on. We all get to find out how much of a mistake it was in a few months. I'm willing to bet Hendrick is schooling Dale and Tony Eury, getting them keyed in on how things work at Hendrick Motorsports. No more slacking off, no more excuses for poor performance.

I agree with "Rick46" above. Dale Jr is worth allot more money because of his popularity. No disrespect to Casey Mears, but he should have been the one to go.
As for Kyle's attitude, what about Tony Stewart's attitude and look at his fan base. Looking back at some of the old timers, guys like Darrell Waltrip, Bobby Allison and Geoff Bodine were said to have by attitudes as well. Now they are some of NASCAR's legends. If Kyle Busch is as good as I think he is, he'll be famous for many years to come.

I can see both sides to this.

Yeah, as Busch does have the clear potential to be a damn good driver, but with his attitude, who knows if he could pull a stunt like his brother did.

But I do belive Jr is a good driver in need of a stable team, and with the cash that the guy can bring to the team, that can be a very huge positive.

Right now, I think its split even, but we will give it a few races before I would really hand down judgement.

I think that they should have gotten rid of Casey Mears and kept Kyle, even though I don't care for Kyle. If you compare the two drivers, Kyle at least made it into the Race for the Chase... unlike Casey. I'm glad that Jr. is coming aboard the Hendrick team.

Yes. Kyle won races and ran in the Chase. Junior did neither. I think Hendrick hired Junior because of his fan base. Kyle did hook up with Joe Gibbs, but Toyota might hold him back early in 2008.

No,I can't say that I agree with that. Junior may not be the best out there right now, but Kyle Busch is a big risk for anyone, and especially a "big name, no game" team like Hendrick. Kyle needs to hone in on his driving skills more, and especially his temper!
