No joke, but if it wasn't for them I would of been one, odd but true. They helpped me keep my faith just seeing what they had to say...which didn't make any sense for some reason.
I went into an atheist chat room, very interesting point of views.

But am glad they do exist.

So how are all of you tonight?
Anything new happening tomorrow.

I'm doing just fine, though I did have a moment of disappointment with yahoo when I noticed the top ad in the sponsors section. To wit:

Chat with Sexy Adults - Free Sign Up
Make new friends, chat, email and more at BlackPeopleMeet.com.
www.blackpeoplemeet.com

How incredibly tasteless, I think, to peddle a "sexy" dating service aimed at an ethnicity simple because the questioner is a black person. This is a religious section!

Then I had some hot chocolate and I feel better now.

For a while, I attended a Quaker meeting that was proud of the fact that they once had an atheist couple as members: just an indicator that some people do not see RELIGION as an indicator of SPIRITUALITY - but on the dark see, religion if often used as a control system, merely for the sake of whatever power structure is pulling the strings of its puppets who will throw stones you when you travel beyond the reach of their control - CIA training manuals that have been declassified, and Latin American insurrectionist manuals that were found in Honmdurus, lefy behind by the SOA all encourage their agents to leverage whatever that can of a peoples' belief system - for sake of control. So it is that "religion" can be turned to the purposes of evil - only those religious practicioneers who has discernment are safe. Otherwise, religion is just one more tool for manipulating the masses, and this very common practice is one reason why some people become atheists - seeing the man-made construct of god utterly corrupted by their "leaders" - who must be rejected utterly by any who value their freedom.

Im a theist and im suprised by the calm happy and respectable responses i have read so far from the atheists . I was expecting to find some rude replies and the usual antireligious rhetoric. Well i will say this,,,,most of you keep us us beleivers in check because of your questioning nature. You show us that we can be sheep,,,but we must not be hypocritical blind sheep and yes like the other guy said you guys keep me on my toes too. I wonder what you guys (atheists learn from us beleivers though?)

Anyway have a nice night everyone beleivers and non beleivers or a good day since im writing this at 1:15AM lol.

Very well, thank you. I still have a lot of questions that I could not find answers for. Here is one for you:

What is Jesus' last name, ben Yahweh or Godson?

I'm a bit disappointed, but other than that just fine. By the way, if you want actual intellectual discussion from atheists rather than the snarky one-liners offered here, try internet infidels.

I'm doing great. Funny, because Christians are a pretty influential reason why I am an atheist

So you still believe in Santa also because of Atheists? Or people who don't believe in him? Your logic backs up why you are still a theist.
