Weight loss is simply a matter of burning more calories than you take in. If I had to do this - - Say, if they asked me to be a stand in for Brad Pitt in "Troy II" - - I would have two eggs and dry toast (no butter) OR a bowl of Special K with skim milk and no sugar for breakfast, a Lean Cuisine dinner in the evening, and carrots or celery during the day.
I would have to omit Cokes and Dr Peppers switching to diet sodas or much better tea with artificial sweetener.
I would pick an exercise that I like - which for me would be long walks. You may prefer treadmills, cycling, swimming whatever. I would do weights too - - but low weights with high reps for tone rather than bulk - one hour a day.

But this is what "I" would do to lose 15 lbs in 5 weeks.
And I am about 15 pounds over my buff weight.

Oh, I would also be sure to take a multivitamin every day
and drink plenty of water.
I would NOT use laxatives or diuretics. That isn't fat you would be losing.

To lose 20-25 pounds would mean more exercise or fewer calories, but maybe it would be better to settle for 15 pounds and not harm yourself by starvation.
You will have to choose something that is comfortable for you. You can design your own program.

Also, no alcohol. Many calories there.

Best of Luck. It's really a common sense thing. I always found it was fairly easy for 5 weeks. Doing it every day of
the year is HARD.

I've tried many diets and couldn't make anything work. Since having my first child, I've been carrying around an extra 30 pounds. This diet just made sense and showed me that everything I was doing before was wrong and a waste of my time.

The plan was so refreshing and so simple to follow. I did everything plan said and lost 23 pounds in the first three weeks. I'm now starting the diet again to lose 7 more pounds. This plan has changed my life.

Get the Zone sugar busters book or book on tape.
It tells you to keep off of white sugar/flour products, corn, carrots, molasses, honey, beets, beer, ketchup, potatoes, white rice. This helped me drop 12 pounds.
My girlfriend ran (on a treadmill) 2x a day for a month. Once in the morning and evening. 2 miles ea. Till she got down to where she wanted to be.

It depends if you are overweight currently.... usually they say 2 pounds a week is a lot.... but I have seen people lose it who needed to.
