So what you are saying is that if I wipe my butt with my hand instead of toilet paper & then go around spreading germs that is better than using toilet paper?
Get real please.

The reason global warming is a big issue is because you and people like you make a big issue out of it.
You can't notice any climate change. Remember all of this panic is just over 1 degree over the last 100 years. No one, not even nature can notice an annual increase of just 0.01 degrees.
Global warming is a political issue,
If you were really concerned about renewable energy, you would push development of nuclear power.

It's really not that big. I can think of at least 10 issues that are much more pressing than global warming.

Man made global warming is a big money maker for those who actually know it's a crock and feeding off the gullible. I've done nothing to "change" the environment. I've always been good as far as using less energy, but only to keep the bucks in my pocket. The environment has always taken care of itself and will continue to do so after our presence. If you can tell me how we can make it rain, how we can predict where hurricanes will hit, how to stop the rain, how we reversed the last ice age, and how our filthy lifestyles have increased the temperature ON MARS, I'll eat my words. And as for you and Australia being the worst, you need to check on China and their daily construction of coal burning power plants. These so called Green Leaders are still flying around on private jets and living life large, the rock stars and that bogus concert they had a few months back produced enough pollution and garbage that even made me cringe. You act like this global warming is a life threatening issue, and if you truly believe this, you would NOT be using electricity to run your computer, you would not set foot in any type of transportation that requires fossil fuels, you would not eat any foods that require either energy or contribute to the problem, i.e. beef, chickens, pigs, green beans... whatever. And finally, you would need to stop breathing because this is also a major contributor to greenhouse gasses. I believe most people are in total denial as demonstrated by their actions.

is this a question or a home work ?
if you really worry so much about the environment, then why don't you go out and plant some trees yourself.
for global warming i would say----
- don't believe in what others say.
- study science if you did not.
- don't believe the media on GW (both print and visual
including inetrnet)
- earth is a very big system that regenrates it self.
- did you create the earthh or the environmrnt ?
- stop worrying about the environment.

No, actually global warming is a natural cycle of the earth and is actually beneficial to the human race. Much less energy will be consumed in a warmer climate. Global cooling is going to be much more serious. And there is nothing humans can do to control either one. So do your rain dance if you wish, for all the good it will do.

Every time has its doomsday cults. This is just the latest and one of the least compelling, the Global Warming Doomsday Cult. It doesn't deserve anymore respect or consideration because it is hyped all out of reason. It is certainly not anything to lose sleep over.

Whoa, I know global warming can cause a lot of problems....but tsunamis???? Those are usually caused by earthquakes or landslides!
The people at greenpeace, although well intentioned, are a little radical for me. They're the ones that will sit up in a tree in protest so it doesn't get chopped down to make way for a shopping mall or something. It's very noble, but not for me.
What can you do to help reduce pollution? Well, you can drive your car less, try to insulate your home so it uses less heat, switch to compaq flourescent bulbs to save energy, there's tons of things.
But try not to stress yourself out too much worrying about it all. Don't worry, be happy!

I guess the only thing we can do is what you're doing putting the info out there on websites like this one and my-space. If we get enough people talking and wanting to get educated about global warming then the government would have to get more involve.

I love your stance on this issue. unfortunately trees are an extremely useful product. they provide structural building material, paper and lots of stuff. we can and do use selective cutting and replanting, which has vastly improved the problem. really what we need is to put a bunch more trees in the ground and leave them there. and that's not too hard.
WE NEED TO STOP USING FOSSIL FUELS!! That's gasoline, propane, coal, all of it. we can do it. we have the technology to go 100 percent renewable. we can plant more trees. we can recycle 100 percent of non biodegradable waste. we can stop putting greenhouse gasses in the atmosphere.
why doesn't green peace do something imaginative and inventive, like make wind, water, or ocean wave generators, and use them for their own power, and sell it to others? and make electric vehicles, and use them, and sell them? and build things, slowly but surely creating a renewable infrastructure that is profitable and will catch on? and collect the gasses that are produced by bio mass, (that's land fills, farms, sewers, wood processors...) and use it to make electricity.
That's how an individual can help! use your vision! make a big change now! build things, make things, create a prophitable buisness that can serve as an example, and really get stuff done.
I would be doing it NOW! but I need mony, and a network of connections to influencial people. green peace has that. USE IT!
