Hello again, Im just updating my previous question which was how to cope with my fathers illness. It is terminal, and what I want is your opinion. Since watching and being by his side from diagnosis it has thrown me out in terms of confidence, for example I cant focus, my job seems to be a up hill battle hence the apprentiship. I would love to finish, and Im so hopless, make mistakes all the tmie etc, so it seems almost like im chasing something that will never seem to arrive? It sounds silly I know but it seems like that now, and what I find most is that the enviroment is so negative, hence taking all the crap, I take it all, but I honestly cant see my life being any harder than what im going through right now! Help me cope..........

I have read your previous questions on your career and sports problems and father's terminal illness and the best answers given there seem to be good. In this question you ask how to cope with your fathers terminal illness, complicated by your career and athletic interests. You never mention whether you are a religious family but coping with a terminal illness can be helped by a proper spiritual outlook.

If you are a member of a church then contact your pastor for some support and guidance in this matter. If not then I suggest seeking out a church and contacting them for such guidance and support. They will be vary happy to offer it I'm sure.

For your career and leisure time problems I suggest typing, "time scheduling" and "self motivation techniques" into Yahoo! web search for much information on these two topics. In self motivation you have to come to some decision as to which is the most important to you, your apprenticeship or your athletic interest, and/or schedule your days to make both pursuits possible.

Good luck, God bless, good mental health, peace and Love!
