im goign to the drs. tommorow and my moms makeing me get all these shots the ones for ceveral cancer or whatever...buy my mom smokes right in front of my face and she can give me lung cancer but shes makeing me get these shots when im prob going to die of something other then that ...then shes makeing me get the flu shot witch iv only gotten twice and the 2 times iv got it...i got the flu very bad..then she wants me to get the mengites shot..witch once again...i feel like if im ment to die im ment to die...theres more dangerous things...to worry about then a rare thing thing...plus shes making me get a tetnus shot...thats 4 shots in one day..and im not good with being stuck ...this really isnt fair...and i have no say so on anything....what do i do

my gyn told me that she would have her daughters get the cirvical cancer shot, if she had any, and my mom told me to get it, and i'm 20!
as for the flue shot, it only covers about 3 of the possible viruses out per year so its a hit or miss.
the menigitis shot, everyone has to get it before they go to college any way, and besides wouldnt you rather be safe than sorry? meningitis may not be all to comin, but it is deadly.
and tetnus is just so that if you accidently get cut with rusty metal your limb doesnt fall off.
your mother really does have your best interest in mind. as for her smoking "in your face", talk to her about that, ask her if she wouldnt mind not smoking around you, that it bothers you. i used to smoke, but i quit, and my mom smokes. i still live at home, so i'm left with seccond hand smoke. i recently got over the flu and now have a sinus infection due to her smoking around me, and my mucus looks just like my lungbutter did when i smoked. i know its nasty, but just talk to her. hopefully she will understand.

No, in all seriousness I am sorry, I don't much like shots either but they do help and prevent things, see if there is a second procedure you can get in on instead of shots, as for your mom, she probably just doesn't think about it, talk to her honestly and maybe she'll stop, as for the shots, buck up, cause they really do help.

Bite on a bullet. No seriously, shots are important. Young people need more shots that older people.
Tetnus, for example, everyone is supposed to get every x years. I think x is 5, but i'm not sure.
The shots are good for you. It will all be over in 5 minutes...

Stop moaning, it takes a few seconds to have a shot, even four of them, BUT,
l do think you should tell the doctor how you feel about your
mom smoking, maybe the doc can help mom to stop
smoking, then you both will live long happy lives together.
