Like, here and now, on earth. Will I, say, be robbed of oppurtunities or items because I sinned?

And what about in heaven? I've read about "heavenly treasures" and the like, but I'll be glad to just live on a street corner in heaven.

no your sins won't be punished on earth. But....ultimately your sins and "good deeds" are sorta scaled (this just an interpretation of course) and if you sin too much you go to hell. BUT NOT FOR ETERNITY. People over look that. At the apocalypse, everyone will be allowed to heaven.

Just so you know a second in hell is supposed to be way more unimaginably painful than anything on earth, soooo, to avoid that; go to a priest, ask for forgiveness AND REPENT! YOU MUST REPENT! That means try never to do that again and apologies to the people you might have hurt.

hope this will help you.

You have to believe on God and serve the duty to God and to humans every day staying away from sins. Off course there won't be a human that has never hurt even feelings of a person by saying something wrong. Keep repenting to God for forgiveness and worship God every day.

Worshipping God daily and repenting for sins, keep our sins forgiven and we must try to keep our slate of sins sort of clean. As long as our good deeds are more than sins, God will forgive us and gives us some level of Heaven probably better than an street corner.

All depends on our efforts, control our selves from the temptations of life and be good to others and do our duty to God of worshipping Him too. Any one who is concerned about his hereafter will God willing do good and get in heaven as he tries for it.

The punisher of sins is the committer of the sin. Guilt has its own remedy which in fact is another sin. Were you not already “punished’ for doing the sin. A sin against another IS a sin against yourself. We believe in a God of vengeance that would crush our enemies & you if you sin, here we are willing to make the sacrifice, here is the illusion. What about The Loving God ...?

both. YOu get punished for sinning because it robs you of opportunities and God's presence which brings abundant blessings of all kinds....remember Jer 29:11....well that and other promises aren't allocated to a perpetually disobedient child. Also sin produces death, sufferring and other problems. Mainly bondage. Sin enslaves you. It says there is liberty in Christ. I believe that means that your desire and will to serve Jesus is free will and it is enjoyable for that reason, you do it out of love. Life where you perpetually live in sin is not comforting or soothing at all. Sin enslaves you to the point where it is not your choice to do ( ), you feel like you have to. Instead of drinking a beer and calling it quits and enjoying it, you have to have 6 in one sitting, instead of maybe being satisfied with your wife you start running around on her or flirting with other women. People commonly try to find something that satisfies them but that's what God really does. I know that having a clean conscience and feeling you are in God's will-nothing can be any more soothing and peaceful. On the opposite spectrum you stop praying, close yourself off from blessings, waste your resources and time on evil things, you negatively shape your mind and circumstances, it will really drive you mental. I suspect the reason you are even asking this question is because satan is presenting it to you as a lofty temptation. So really, (intentionally) try to live holy, seek God and read the Bible to find out what you aren't missing by living in sin. Do you know any success stories of people with an attitude like yours? No, of course not. I know tons of people though that I admire for their faith and godliness and their work and effort spent knowing God has benefited everything they have done and had an even bigger impact on people around them.

Yes, if one does not repent for sin and change their course in life it can result in consequences that we bring on ourselves. For instance, if one insists on living a promiscuous lifestyle, there might be the consequence of contracting some sort of social disease. One might miss the opportunity to have a God fearing mate because of a bad choice. God made us free to make our own choices and free to pay the consequences for bad choices. This is because God never asks you to do anything bad for you. He always has your best interest in mind. If one chooses to not obey God, he heaps bad things on himself!

Have you asked the Lord to forgive you? He remembers that you are flesh. We ALL fall short. However, we must be careful that we do not make sin a way of life. Like repeating the same sin over and over even after knowing that it is wrong. Remember in the Bible Jesus forgiving a person their sin and saying to them "sin no more"? After asking for forgiveness, God sees your heart and knows you are sorry. He is so awesome to forgive us! At this point, make sure you really try not to repeat this.

We are able to do all things through Christ. You are a son of the Most High God and He will see that you are victorious over sin! God will give you the victory! Praise the Lord! He is an awesome God!

You sound like you have a wonderful humble attitude! The Lord loves this quality! I too would be happy to do anything up there, including polishing the pearly gates! May God bless you and make His face shine on you!

The Sin is the Punishment

That is in God's hands. 1 Timothy 5:24 The sins of some men are quite evident, going before them to judgment; for others, their sins follow after.

What do you need God to punish you for? Sounds like you're doing that to yourself already. Contrary to the ignorances of mankind, the Lord in heaven doesn't punish anyone. Mankind does a good enough job of that "themselves."

Yes God will punish you if you do not repent of your sin. But if you repent and trust Jesus as your Lord, he will forgive your sin, all of it, past sin, present sin and future sin , and put it as far away as the east is from the west . Come to Christ

God is not interested in punishing you (that is why He took your punishment upon Himself). He is only interested in disciplining you (like a Father disciplines a son) and saving you from the consequences of sin - consequences to you and to those who your sins may eternally affect (including your own family).
