Why is it so hard to find a guy that likes a smart, nice girl?
So in high school I was the bookworm, in university I straightened my hair and got contacts and all sorts of guys started talking to me... BUT...Literally every guy I've met shys away because I'm studious and down to earth (meaning, I like bowling, movies, and all other fun stuff besides clubbing, although I do like to dance). I'm 21 finishing university... I feel so lonely even though I have my goals! : (

Do you have a close friend? Ask her if you have a problem that you are unaware of, like an awful laugh, or something you can easily change.
Only insecure guys shy away from smart girls.
Realistically, young men in university are pretty immature. In the real world after you graduate, you will find so many young men who are really attracted to an intelligent young woman.
Stick with your goals, you will meet someone wonderful in your field.

Sometimes, it takes time for guys to catch up with smart girls! Unfortunately, when you are at high school and University you are surrounded by people of the same age (similar upbringing, similar backgrounds) but despite all the similarities boys and girls of the same age can sometimes be at different places maturity and intellectually speaking.
When you reach your mid twenties you will begin meeting new and different people and you'll meet plenty who will appreciate a brilliant girl with whom they can share interesting conversations. And these sorts of relationships can be so fulfilling much more so than those that are club born.
Don't get discouraged now, you are actually being saved of some heartache by not having to deal with immature boys and shallow relationships! Furthermore, you are going to be ahead of the pack by wisely spending your time nurturing your interests and goals and developing your UNIQUE personality.
You're the catch and soon enough they wise up and realize.

Smart women and down to earth types are hard to find and I love them.
Many / most men are not as secure about themselves as a few of us. You need to look for the ones like you, but may need a little help from you in their ego section.
Don't get depressed - you'll be highly sought after in the right groups!!!

We scare them away. For different reasons. We scare away the good ones b/c they're afraid that they might not be able to measure up. We scare away the bad ones b/c they can tell we're smart enough to see through their game.
It may be better to look for males within your fields of interest like bowling and such. Or, go looking over in the science dept the males will at least be able to intellectually keep up with you.

I like smart women a lot...but then again I'm a fairly smart guy (or like to think so) and I like someone who I can have an intelligent conversation with.
Honestly I think its great that ordinary guys shy away from girls like you, because that leaves them to me :)

You just haven't met the right guy yet. Be proud of yourself and your accomplishments and you will meet the perfect guy for you.
I did not meet my wonderful husband until I graduated from college, and I am so glad that I waited until we found each other.

Intelligence is a great attribute. You haven't met a guy who appreciates it yet. Don't wait around for one either though. Get out and meet people. Maybe you'll find what you're looking for.

I love smart women. They keep me on my toes. All i can say keep your faith that you will find the perfect man. You will find your gentleman who loves smart women. Atleast with a smart i can have conversation. With a dumb girl its painful

i know wat ur going through. It is sooo annoying. Don't worry the right guy will come along soon. You want a smart guy that you can relate to and anybody that is smart will like you.Just be patient for that guy...
