Not legally. And think of the stupidity of getting caught and ticketed on the way to the office. Think worse, like getting into an accident without that licence. Please get somebody to drive you.
And most places do not have any grace period. Please post your state, and someone will be able to confirm.

Not legally (of course unless you get stopped-no one would really know). Drive to a block away from the DMV, park and walk to the station. Get your license renewed and drive away. If you have to take the drivers test, tell them someone drove you here and you are to pick them up at_________when you are done.

No you can't Because as of right now you have no license. The first thing there probably are going to ask you is if you did just that. Then the fun starts if you say yes. Just find a legal way to get there.

i am sure that it would be illegal if you got caught. but i dont think that the people working in the dmv office are really going to care if you drove yourself there or not. either way they ar getting paid the same. in ny they mail you your new license to your house before it expires.

I'm sure you could drive down there, but I wouldn't recommend it. Sometimes they will see that your driver's license is expired and specifically ask you how you got there. Also, at the point where it expired, it would be illegal to drive -- however nobody who drives ever does anything illegal, right?!?!?! hehe

Most states have a 30 day grace period. If its been more than 30 days since it expired, get a ride.

Existing valid driving license is compulsory for driving.

They just MIGHT ask you how you got there. Don't tell them you drove. Tell them a friend drove you, because it is illegal to drive.
