Well, most people (myself included) can believe and practice a religion without following every "rule"
So just because they practice a religion and they are gay, and being gay is a sin...doesn't mean a thing.
Ex: I'm catholic, to follow EVERY "rule" I would be a Saint. And that is not the case! But i still do attend church every Sunday, pray, and all that catholic stuff as well as sin. But i do not believe i am going to hell.

Just because some believers think being gay is a sin does not mean that the person doing it is going to burn in hell.. once your saved your saved despite the lifestyle you choose. Thats why there is no condemnation w hen you are in Christ. So why shouldnt gay people believe in christianity??

Not all christian denomination hates gays and lesbians. Some actually have ministers who are gay and lesbians.
I think you are refering to Catholicism, Orthodox Christians, Evangelicals and Baptist.
Here is why these 4 religions don't like gays, it is because the scriptures (a.k.a. their bible) does not allow for it to be tolerated.
Sexual preference should not limit a human being from picking a religion to follow. Again, the main goal in life is the pursuit of liberty and happiness.
Christianity is a great religion because it emphasizes forgiveness and hope. I feel sorry for those who are narrow minded and believe that gay and lesbian people should go to hell. As far as I am concern, they deserve to be happy and to be respected because like all of us they make the world better in their own way

I have a gay friend, and she tells me that she believes in Christianity and loves God. She believes what she is doing is wrong, and believes that God views her lifestyle as an abomination (as described by several books in the Bible).
All people (gay or straight) who believe in Christianity are sinners.
Jesus chose to live among sinners because they need him most.
Acting out on our sins and not repenting is being away from God.
Repenting, and knowing Jesus Christ died for our sins is forgiveness (eternal life in Heaven) John 3:18.

The answer is:
the same reason anybody else does.
(some) Gay people belive in christianity because they need to believe in something. Some people need to belive in some benevolant, all powerful being to make life make sense. Weather said being condemns or embraces them. Also, many people (not just gays) interperate the bible many different ways and still belive in Christ the savior. The bible does say that being homosexual is punishable by death, but it also says stealing, cheating on your spouse, and not believing in God are too.

coz some are idiots,it clearly says what they're doing is a sin and is punishable by God but they liberalize Christianity by saying "oh Jesus loved the poor and persecuted, he loved whores" i think its because everybody else in history has altered Christianity to suit their interests so they can do the same, some argue that it doesn't say in the bible that gays are going to hell but sodomy is gay. The kings of Europe in medieval time altered the religion to have more power so the gays are doing the same.

They are sinful and only Christianity will save them as Christians say.
This could be the result of Christians wrong belief that Jesus died for their future sins so they don't have to worry about any thing and keep enjoying the life any way they can.

There are some Christians who 'hate' gays, most don't. There are just as many atheists, muslims etc who 'hate' gays as well. Gays and anybody else have to make up their own minds about their own religion and faith.

LOL! Being gay is a sin in God's eyes. I personally dont "hate" Gay people because I was taught to Love the sinn'er' and hate the sin. One of my best friends who was gay dropped dead of a heart attck at age 38. we were like siblings- yet respected each other's life choices, despite how I felt about how she lead her life.

They can believe in whatever they want. Just because they believe in christianity doesn't mean they believe that God thought being gay was a sin.
