The History Channel is airing a documentary, "Snipers: One Shot, One Kill," on Thu December 22nd at 8:00pm and Fri December 23rd at 2:00pm. Perhaps the film has your answer.

Series Info: During World War II, the Allies fired an average of 25,000 bullets for each enemy soldiers that they killed. By Vietnam, the number had gone up to more than 200,000. But a trained sniper fires only 1.3 bullets per kill. Each episode of Snipers will focus on a particular hair-raising story of the men and women who fight this solitary war.
