The two Mikes who answered you above are very reliable sources, so yes you would be allowed in as a tourist visitor.

But be prepared for a reasonable amount of security questioning, because we know that Malaysia and Indonesia have some of the most hardline Israel-haters in the world, and they will want to make sure that you are not here to endanger our lives.

By the way, I loved Borneo when I travelled there - are you in Sabah or Sarawak?

I have searched for you and it seems that Malaysia is not on the list of countries that can simply apply for a visa at the airport. Consular Affairs of Israel says you need to go to the embassy in person to apply. The first link is their website.
The only other problem , the second website is of all embassies and consulates in Malaysia and it appears that there is not an Israeli embassy or consulate in Malaysia. Perhaps you would need to go to another country first , like the Philippines and apply from there? Hope I could help. Cheers!

As far as I know, Israel is willing to stamp the visa upon arrival on a separate piece of paper so that Muslim countries will not find out. In general you would have to fly to an intermediate country and catch a connecting flight to Israel, and then repeat the process on the way back (I assume there are no flights to or from straight).

EDIT: B, your post fact justifications are simple falsehoods. The ban on both Israel and the travel thereto predate the current situation, which came around only in 1967. Prior to 1967 the Palestinians were happily under Jordanian and Egyptian control, and clearly Israel was not placing travel restrictions on them. Despite this, Arab countries did not allow citizens and tourists to visit Israel and boycotted any company that sold to Israel. Perhaps the explanation is more basic then you suggest?

I have been working on and off on an Israeli border for some time now and the Israelis have let many people through with stamps from all over the world including Iran,Iraq, saudie, syria and many many more arab countries, they may take up to Four or Five hours to process you but I did'nt see many people turned away. Now, If I wanted to go to syria on my Israeli passport, syria would not let me in and nor would any of the arab countries mentioned above( in fact I would proably be strung up in most of them!)So Israel seems pretty alright, but everyone should check with thier embassy if they are not sure.

The reason for that, Koyoi, is that Israel doesn't allow Palestinians in the West Bank and Gaza to travel to other countries. How is that fair? I don't blame Arab/Muslim countries for having this rule.

i know people in Palestine who wanted to go for the Holy Pilgrimage this year but they couldn't (they weren't ''allowed to''). This is enough reason for any decent human being to boycott israel. Israel obviously doesn't respect the rights of the Palestinians.

Michael J is right. You will have no problem from Israel's end of this. Israel is use to discrimination against the existence of a Jewish State.

Good Luck!!!
