Yeah, the one that says something about :
Thou shalt not perpetuate a myth about a jolly fat elf who brings joy to children who don't live in places where genocide is a way of life

There actually was a Santa type man (in Germany I believe) that brought a bag of gifts to all the kids in his village. I think this happened in the last 1800's. Anyway, the name Chris Kringle was derived from his name and that's how the whole Santa thing started. This took place around the time of Christmas. So, there actually WAS a real Santa but I always had a hard time telling kids there still IS a Santa. Santa is an idea of someone who was once very giving to children. I can't have kids but if I could, I don;t know if I could bring myself to lie to my kids about Santa still being around. some kids are really hurt when they find out there is no Santa and other kids don't care. I guess it's a form of lying if that's what you mean by breaking a Commandment. I don't follow the ten commandments though.

What commandment are you thinking of. Santa is no God or told he is one. Are you thinking of lying, let's see, that means we couldn't tell our children about Grimm's fairy tales, Aesop Fables, any of the Play Station games would be out, they aren't real. No, I think I am good about Loving one another (no - not the coveting part).

If you mean Santa as in "Santa brings you presents", then ABSO-FREAKING-LUTELY YES!! That is in violation of sacred Holy 10 Commandment Number 9...I think. I bet God does not want us to tell ANY lies, but somebody tossed the words round so it says not to tell lies about people, instead of don't tell ANY lies.

Children aren't stupid, they go along with it because they get stuff. My 5 year old is no dummy, she sees the stuff on the shelf at the store suddenly appear under her tree Christmas morning and she knows; she knows.
But she plays along; like I said, she gets stuff.

Just because Santa is real, there is no need to drag Religion into it. It will get its turn, eventually.
