The spices in Captain Morgan's lend themselves well to egg nog. A good bourbon mixes well with it too. Be sure not to make it too strong, as the liquor will overwhelm the taste of the egg nog.

Rum is traditional, but I've seen it made with bourbon.

Egg Nog is apparently the first American cocktail.

Yes - but it is best if it is the dark rum the white just isn't as good.

yep and brandy and bourbon and southern comfort works too. all you need is a brandy snifter, pour it on a few rocks, turn on some music and sit back and sip and chill

For some reason, I tend to like mine without the alcohol in it. I'm not sure why. Weird, I know.
