Me and my friend in basketball eat a Hershey's bar before each of our games, and they don't really affect or alter our game. We just want to know if there is a more healthy alternative. Any ideas?

There's something called carob that is kind of like chocolate.. it is naturally a little bit sweet but it isn't the same. It has a similar flavor.. but i think it still requires the fat in it.

Chocolate is "Unhealthy" becuase of the fat and sugar that you need to make it taste good. Chocolate does have flavanoids and some anti oxidants..

Maybe eat a power bar or a granola bar with some chocolate in it!!!! That would be good before a game especially because there is some good grains and energy in there, not just fat and sugar.

ummm, didnt your coaches teach you anything about candy bars and sports?? this is a big no-no...
candy bars contain sugar, sucrose to be exact which burns fast, sure it gives you energy quickly, but then it's gone just as fast... you should eat fruit before a game if you're looking for a sugar boost; fructose has a longer, stronger burn and is natural and unprocessed

but back to a healthier chocolate bar... premium chocolate bars are going to be better for you than a regular nestle or hershey's bar... look for lidnt or hershey's cocoa reserve... look in the candy aisle at walmart, they cost alot more, but taste alot better, have better ingredients, some have more antioxidants, others use the whole cocoa bean

yes! weight watchers sweets are sugar-free and each pack contains 1/2 a point (around 30 cals) BUT they taste like rubber!!!!!!!!! the weight watchers chocie bars and slim fast choccie bars are lower in calories but not technicallly 'healthy'. Tbh i think i dont think a miracle chocalate bar with hardly any calories or fat exists tho i wish it did!!! sweets and chocs without the sugar and fat can be TERRIBLE! so it's just best to enjoy your regular favourites but less often!

I've always heard that if you have to eat chocolate, then you should have dark chocolate. I'm not sure why.
