I think that since there are scenes of violent human slaughter, incest, animal sacrifice, etc. it probably wouldn't be appropriate for kids.

WOW, you mean there is one of those? You must realize, it is always still edited and from a Hollywood point of view not from God's point of view. There was a show a few years back that was supposed to be The Bible and it showed Noahs ark and the flood happening after the destruction of Sodom and Gommorah. Now you think that even they could get that right. No matter what you view, nake sure it is in line with what the Bible teaches. Do not put all your money on a particular Directors interpretation. Plus you need to make sure all the facts are in line. other than that, Sure Why not watch it?

Imagine the various ways you might turn this simple statement into a video...

"The man went to the store."

Multiply that by the number of simple statements appearing in the Old Testament and you'll discover that there are a nearly endless number of video interpretations.

Some may be suitable and some may not.
