You are a pastor and you don't know who wrote Revelations? Are you sure this isn't homework?

new pastor and don't know how to study the bible, very strange

a biblical commentary will provide much of this. the McArthur study material is first rate.

rev is broken into 3 distinct parts, the opening, the letters and the unfolding redemption of the earth to Christ.

the author is Jesus himself. the churches represent what all the churches through the ages will be.

a lot of your questions are actually answered in the text you site.

daniel is the proponant of this revelation in his vision, Christ in Matt 24-25 deals in detail with the revelation and the book of Revelation amplifies all the former

if fumc first united methodist church? if so, i understand your problems.

email me if you need help and cant' get it and I will do what I can to assist you. Remember you are working for Jesus himself, he will judge your works

I suggest getting a Study Bible. They have notes that help figure out the versus. I like "The Macarthur Study Bible" New King James version.

You are asking for to much information at once. Along with the New King James you could get another version to do see different wordings. Perhaps the New International verson or New American Standard Bible.

Christ will reign from the New Jerusalem as well as the old Jerusalem during the Millennium.

Micah 4: 1 But in the last days it shall come to pass, that the mountain of the house of the LORD shall be established in the top of the mountains, and it shall be exalted above the hills; and people shall flow unto it.
2 And many nations shall come, and say, Come, and let us go up to the amountain of the LORD, and to the house of the God of Jacob; and he will teach us of his ways, and we will walk in his paths: for the law shall go forth of Zion, and the word of the LORD from Jerusalem.

This corresponds with what the Prophet Isaiah saw in vision about these days:

Isaiah 2:2-3 And it shall come to pass in the last days, that the mountain of the LORD'S house shall be established in the top of the mountains, and shall be exalted above the hills; and all nations shall flow unto it. And many people shall go and say, Come ye, and let us go up to the mountain of the LORD, to the house of the God of Jacob; and he will teach us of his ways, and we will walk in his paths: for out of Zion shall go forth the law, and the word of the LORD from Jerusalem.
