Your experienced pastors will not be able to answer. They know nothing about the temple or the new name.

12 Him that overcometh will I make a pillar in the temple of my God, and he shall go no more out: and I will write upon him the name of my God, and the name of the city of my God, which is new Jerusalem, which cometh down out of heaven from my God: and I will write upon him my new name.

Man, I feel for you. This is a pretty sophisticated assignment, and it is going to take some good old-fashioned hard work. I would help you, but in 15 minutes I have to leave for three days.

But here is some advice. Most of these questions are subjective - they are based on the opinion expressed in a text book of some sort. If they gave you a text book, you will have to use it.

Revelation, chapters 2-3 are letters to the Seven Churchs

that they must be watchful of the Lords return, and faithful
and steadfast in their ministry.

With all due respect - do your own homework. This is quite a demanding question without so much as a "please" or a reason why you are asking. Very un-Christian attitude; an atheist would have asked nicely. There are plenty of exegetic sources available to you surely, commentaires, for example.

Your last statement is veru condescending, demanding, etc.

Are you doing this for your Term Paper?

The normal length of an 'exegesis on a pericope' is 15 - 20 pages!

Perhaps not so appropriate on Yahoo! Answer.

I don't know that you are a Pastor, but, if you are, I answered in one of your other posts. I do think you are in some sort of schooling being lazy on homework. H.S. or possibly college level, don't be lazy if you are in this field, many lives can go astray on account of you not being a good shepherd!

Experienced? what kind of pastor? If you are looking for spiritual guidance, wouldn't it be a bit scary to ask here? and, that looks like homework to me.

You need to do your homework, yourself. Open up your brain and come to your own conclusions. That's what learning & homework is about.
