Sounds like an ear infection. Most of the time they don't hurt till they are laying down and then the fluid is putting pressure on his ear drum. Try sitting him up to sleep then make an appointment with a doctor in the morning. Also give some tylenol or something to help with the pain. Sounds like something is obvouisly wrong.

It's possible he's having night terrors. If he's inconsolable and it seems like nothing you do is helping that's probably what's wrong. My son has them occasionally. Sometimes his eyes are open and he's just staring at the wall, screaming bloody murder at some invisible monster. It's terrifying for us as parents, but he won't even remember it.
Just wait it out and take solace in the fact that most kids grow out of it. He won't even remember having them in the morning. =)

there are various diverse innovations in this undertaking. 2 huge-unfold ones are as follows: #one million- Comforting the baby and rocking them to sleep, or using something consisting of a swing until they are asleep lower back. #2- Self soothing determining on up infant temporarily to allow them to recognize you're there for them and laying them go into opposite lower back by using themselves and leaving the room. the two have good and undesirable .... despite if this couple i'm assuming is training self soothing which for many can artwork o.k.. in the self soothing approach that's believed that while you're to apply rocking or use different issues until they visit sleep that the baby would be dependant in this to fall asleep so which you would be doing this nightly. the place as with self soothing is can practice the baby to have the skill to fall asleep with out any help and added extra this could enable them to have the skill to evoke in the process the night and that they could have the skill to flow lower back to sleep with out any help. many every person is diverse and persist with what works maximum suitable for them.

it sounds like night terrors. a baby doesnt really know how to explain that he was having a terror, my two year old started that and i was totally freaked out at first then i her to the doc. and he explained night terrors. just sit and hold him for a while and confort him. he has the ability to sort out that it wasnt quite real. i would also take him to his doc. or a sleep specialist. to be sure you cant ever be over safe when it comes to your babys. also turn on the light when you go into his room it will help him to come out of it more. its like when you are awake and aware but your brain isnt fully awake i have them sometimes its very frightning.

A child this age is just learning to communicate so he doesn't know how to tell you. Don't panic, he is just a normal boy and for some unknown reason why he is waking up. Just assure him that you are there and help him get back to sleep. Good luck.

Stick a thermometer under his arm or in his ear just to be sure, but if he can fall back asleep I don't think it can be too serious. I had an ear infection when I was 14 (my first) and man do they HURT. I could NOT sleep.

Sounds like night terrors. Ask your pediatrician for some advice. Try not to give him snacks before bed, nothing to drink, either, because this can bring them on.

You should go to a doctor, and she something may be wrong with him. You need to check out the problem, because it could be an infection of something private, so he dosent want to tell you, because he could have a problem "down there".
