This is the challenge of our faith - to boldly confess the Lord Jesus Christ.
Jesus said if we confess Him before men, He would confess us before the Father and before the angels of heaven.
Much too little is said about this - and the hostility against Christians is increasing, even in the so-called Christian country of the US of A.
I hope you seek God for His Holy Spirit, who alone can give you the boldness you will need to stand up for the One who stretched out His hands upon the cross for you.

Good grief, you poor dears. Because the other 'kids' might pick on you? Try being an atheist in a Christian dominated country and you can't even be honest and open about who you are because it isn't safe. You never know when you'll come across some nutjob who decides it's his job to kill the heathen who doesn't follow Jesus and god.
Or geeze...when they come to your door, wanting you to convert to their religion. They almost always ask WHAT you are. I have no idea who these people are individually as human beings. It's a real worry that they will come back and harm my family or home if I actually say I'm a non believer. I'm not worried about put-downs or peer pressure, I'm worried about actual HATE.
Or try being a Christian in a country where THEY are the minority who puts up with a lot of crap. If you are American or other so-called "Christian country," you are lucky.

I find it easy ever sense I started seeking Gods face. When I was not in prayer all the time I was a little weird saying his name and always kept it in unless someone asked me directly. Then I will either say I am with Christ(if I was) or I would say I do not follow him( when I was back sliding) But I always respected the christian.
So I have been, but I do not think I have ever denied him when I was following.
people think I am nuts cuss he is all I talk about....I find that insulting.

Most if not all the people I hang around with (either at work, or at play) know I am a Christian. I have many friends that are non-believers that tend to "downgrade" Christianity. When I am around them, though, they will apologize for their comments and quickly change the subject, primarily out of respect for me.
When I'm around people that I don't know, and they begin to talk bad about either Christianity, other Christians, or Jesus, I will speak up and try to get to their sense of hatred. I have had many engaging conversations, and I quickly find that those who talk bad about Christianity either had a bad experience with another Christian, or they feel they have been given a "raw deal" by God.
It is tough when in peer pressure situations but remember these verses, it will help you in times of trials.
"Whoever acknowledges me before men, I will also acknowledge him before my Father in heaven." (Matthew 10:32)
"Blessed are you when men hate you, when they exclude you and insult you and reject your name as evil, because of the Son of Man." (Luke 6:22)

honestly, i am a lousy witness. this bothers me a lot. take my boss for example, he always rags on christians, but no one else. i say he's wrong but i don't stand up and refute him politely. nor do i take a stand in my faith. like i said, it's something that bothers me about myself. a person's faith is only as good as when it is put under pressure. i think about this because i want to be more.

In my experience, I have never been ashamed to share my faith. Admittedly, my faith has waned in recent years, but I still stand up for it nonetheless. For instance, I rarely ever take the Lord's name in vain, and as such, I ask my friends not to. I am 16 and don't get rejected for this. The key is to just be tolerant. I have a few atheist friends, and just like I don't disrespect their beliefs, I expect them not to disrespect mine. If you are hanging out in a group that will reject you just for believing in God and Jesus, then you are probably in the wrong group.

no, i am not and never will i be.
yeah, i do declare my faith. well, there is nothing to be ashamed of neither to be scared of in the very first place. as for me, it is actually something that one should be humbly proud of. what my lord and savior Jesus Christ did for me is something that i will always and forever be thankful of. he gave me life when he died for me. he had given me all the reasons in the world to be happy and thank him because he is my King.
in regards to the second sub question, honestly, at times it would really be hard if "friends" pressure you to do something that would not give glory to God like, with all due respect, smoking and drinking for instance, but then the real deal here is the love that one has for Jesus Christ. if one truly love him, one would not do anything to break his heart. with God's help, grace, and love, yeah, i do stand on my faith because i love Him so much. He is my King, my King forever. =) i love You Jesus. =)
god bless! =)

My yearbook quote reads out of Romans 1, "I am not ashamed of the Gospel..."
I was known for my belief in Jesus from the 9th grade, when I was saved. Most people respected the fact that I believe in Him. There were some who got on my case, quite a few picked on me, but no big deal. Jesus saved me, Jesus is Lord and of that I was never ashamed.
My yearbook was from 1980. I was saved in the fall of '76. I haven't turned back in all these years. I will continue to proclaim in Whom I believe.

i let people know I'm a Christian. it dose not matter to me .i usually can figure out what a person is all about by the way that they act and talk so i will try not to preach to people i might offend but if they bring up religion then the gloves are off and that opens up the opportunity to spread Gods word.

There are some situations where I do not proclaim my Christianity. However even in those places I will defend it and tell them I am a Christian. I will not deny Jesus.

If one is afraid to defend their faith, God will deny them on Judgment Day, dear one. We have read the Book and know that the Good Guy wins.
God bless!
