That's just the tip of it... The bible teaches common wealth, take a good long hard look at self proclaimed Christians and how they view their finance by their deeds. Most Christians do not forgive debts as the bible teaches.

I hate to sound like a complainer or a finger pointer but I guess i should thank the neo Christians. Had they not been like they are I would not be as smart or as tough as I am today. Because of them I DON'T listen to the words people say but I listen to their actions and what they don't say... The "Bible belt" is the best place to go if ya wanna know about satan...

As far as touching the school subject. When is it God's way to back off and run from a public situation? If they had any real power wouldn't they be running into the world and not running away from it? Why should they complain about the public schools teaching method being ungodly? If they really believed what they say they do why don't they open their doors to the rest of the world with their teaching method? Hmmm, doesn't take an idiot to figure this one out...

Because they aren't tax-supported, so the only way these schools run is through private donations and tuition.

Plus, its not all about the religion. Part of why I like the Catholic school I go to so well is because it offers a great education as well as a strong faith foundation. Its rather funny talking to my public school friends sometimes and to just hear some of the things that they know(or don't know).

A very very good point.

I go to a Catholic school and I know exactly the reason why they charge that much. Because they can and because they think they are doing the church a favor. This is because part of the money they make, at least in many Catholic schools, goes to the parish.

I agree with you and I think that if going to church is free, then learning religion in school should be free as well.

And people who say that they need muney because they do not get it from the government are wrong. They may need to rase some money or charge some tuition, but the Catholic church is the richest church in the world and you can't tell me that they couldn't start a better school funding system. Our school waists money on stupic tings anyway like a $350 piano bench.

Also there should at least be a tax deduction for the people who put their kids in private schools.

PS: I'm not Catholic. The only reason I go to a Catholic school is because it is a better educatoin than the public school we have here.

It is the school management's prerogative to charge the fees they want and it is the parents who send their wards to that school, knowing that fully well they teach their religion but also discipline and moral values. These school normally charged more fees from non-Christians,but provided free education to the poor christian students. So you cannot blame the school management.
For me, I was sent by my parents and brought up in a missionary school whose school fees were the highest in that city. But I was not influenced by their teachings, since I had a strong faith on my religion. But this had helped me much to broaden my views on religions and had helped me to my spiritual progress later. Incidentally ,the Father with whom I was very close, became the Archbishop of the city.

Other than I think schools were better before religion was removed I don't care about it being taught in schools. A Christian parent should consider their child's religious upbringing important enough to be involved and teach them their self. Too may Christian parents rely on Sunday School teachers to teach their child everything about the Bible.

If they can get religion into public schools then they can also brainwash those who don't have the money for private education. If those kids grow up to have money, then they will send their kids to the private school thus filling the church coffers even more. It's all about the money, present and potential.

You gotta pay for quality and to segregate your kids from the others. You get what you pay for. Whether it's a religious private school, or a non-religious private school, your kids will have a better opportunity. It's worth the investment. Never skimp on education. The return on investment is unmeasurable.

Nothing in life is free. Religious schools appears expensive because they are privately runned and have to support themselves. The public schools also cost a bomb but the costs are hidden because the government are paying (actually, it is us, the tapayers, who are the real ones paying).

Have you seen how much money per student the states give to each public school. It's way more than private school tuition.
