Julia D: When you read John 1:1, you can see that no one was here before the Word, Jesus Christ.

And LOL, Krishna's message had totally different message. If you believe God is Lord Krishna, Krishna is a personal creator; the souls of all living things are part of him. ISKCON teaches that what Krishna does freely for his own pleasure (intoxiacation, sex outside of the marriage )is prohibited for his devotees. Jesus is not important to this group. He is ususally thought of as an vegetarian teacher who taught meditation. He is not an incarnation Some Krishna devotees consider Jesus to be Krishna. Holy Spirit is not part of this belief.

Buddha himself did not believe in theexistense of God. So it is fair to say that buddhism is an atheistic religion.

What Jesus Christ offers is so much more than the Eightfold Path, which is the system to free Buddhists from desring anything. Their goal of life is nirvna,to eliminate all desires and cravings, and in this way escape suffering.

Yes, it's true. And yes, I've experienced it. Other than to say that with it comes a peace that passes understanding, it can't really be explained to someone who hasn't also experienced it.

Great question, thanks for asking it and God bless you!!

Using those exact words; "yes". In John 3:3 Jesus said, "I tell you the truth, unless a man be born again, he cannot enter the kingdom of God." In verse 5, and at the end of John chapter 3, he reaffirms this necessity in order to enter the kingdom of God and avoid the wrath of God (verse 36). The Koine Greek is translated literally "born from above." And so, it makes it pretty clear here Who is doing the rebirthing; that being God Who then becomes our Father! The prophets of old actually foretold about Jesus' day when God would renew the spirit in us humans (King David's prophetic longing in 51:10b, "and renew a steadfast spirit in me."; Isaiah 43:19 "See, I am doing a new thing. Now it springs up; do you not perceive it?"; Ezekiel 11:19b: "...and I will put a new spirit in them..."; and 36:26 "...I will give you a new heart and put a new spirit in you...".)

And, yes, I experienced this miraculous rebirth when I was only 15 years old, on April 14th, 1972. I can remember being shown the verses 1Timothy 2:5-6, "For there is one God and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus, who gave Himself as a ransom for all men - the testimony given in its proper time", in a Billy Graham crusade tract called "Peace With God" by a messianic Jewish elder of a church in my home town. It was at that very moment that I sensed a radical and complete change in my perspective (mind) and attitude (heart) about God, the world, and our purpose in life. It was like someone took a blindfold off from across my eyes that I had on in my life until then, and that an aching heaviness to which my spirit was bound was removed and replaced by an incredible sense of lightness and freedom! Things just have never been the same since, even in those difficult times of living life! I find peace in Him then too, since our Father's ways are easy and the burden of obedience that He calls us to as His children is so much lighter that what the world has to offer (Matthew 11:28-30)!

How I now long for others to experience what I was freely given so long ago from our gracious Heavenly Father!

Nina, I am impressed with your knowledge.
I agree with 2 people here. 1st. Mundo, "leave your willful sinning life and start a "new life" following Jesus.
2nd. Majeed. That is "Oh so true" and no one can deny what he said. People that claim to be born again, how can that be when they did NOT leave their sinful life behind. Being born again is not just the show of water baptism, but really what comes out of a person after accepting Christ Jesus as their "Lord, Saviour, & Redeemer". The cup runneth over from the heart. That is a REAL "rebirth Christian". Jesus said he "always reads the heart first". Everyone should not forget that.

True! John 3:5 (Jesus answering Nicodemus) - "Jesus answered, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born of water and of the Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God."

I have experienced the rebirth. The only way I can explain it is that one day I came face to face with my sins and was convicted to repent and accept Jesus Christ as my Saviour. I am now filled with joy and peace, because I believe He did everything necessary through His atoning work on the cross to secure my salvation, and there is nothing left for me to do but believe it - which I do with all my heart! God bless you!!!

TRUE- In St. John 3:3 Jesus answered and said unto him, Verily, Verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born again, He cannot see the kingdom of GOD. And again in St.John 3:5 Jesus answered, Verily, Verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born of water and (of) the Spirit, He cannot enter into the kingdom of GOD.
The rebirth is WONDERFUL, It is like a heavy load has been lifted off tour back. It is better felt than told. And YES I have experienced it and would highly recommend it to everyone. If the above mentioned verses don't per suede people to open their eyes, I don't know what will.
Nina, I thank GOD for you and what you are doing. May GOD richly bless you and supply all your needs.

John 3 explains all of this. Yes, Jesus was the one who explained to Nicodemus that we must be born again (and he uses the word MUST) of God to enter into the kingdom.

Yes, I was born again 16 years ago this Monday. Like physical birth, it's the beginning of a life-long process of growth, learning and change. I know of some Christians who never seem to get out of the cradle, but that is not God's plan for us. We are meant to grow "into the stature of Christ" as Paul says in Ephesians 4.

True and yes I have.

Jesus declared it in John chapter 3.

And no the rebirth is not baptism. Its sad how many churches have this confused.

The rebirth is repenting of one's sins and receiving Jesus as their Lord and Savior, John 1:12.

Yes it was Jesus. Rebirth was like a cleansing. shedding of my old and becoming new. For me I felt like my eyes were opened. I saw things differently. I experience God's love in a comforting peaceful way. I recognized God's presence in my daily living. There are no coinsedences, as I always called them...they are God things as I now see them. God's love is over powering and a wonderful experience.

The rebirth is a way of illustrating that person must leave their willful sinning life behind and start a new life by following Jesus footsteps closely.

He was the first to use the expression "born again" however the same concept is described beautifully in the 51st chapter of Psalms by David. It is a wonderful read and I recommend it.
