Such as cultural relativism: "a philosophy that believes that when it comes to matters of right and wrong, and other values of a moral nature, that there are no absolutes, or any fixed truth, but rather that all is relative. “Good” and “bad” are merely assigned and attached to beliefs and actions by the culture in which one lives. Good is simply what is socially approved of in that culture by the majority over time."
So, What constitutes something being considered bad, or even evil, is therefore also culturally relative. This means that no belief or action is inherently good or bad, rather it is either acceptable or taboo within that given culture, and thus we should all learn to be “tolerant”, suspending personal judgment, because the real issue isn’t goodness or badness per se, but simply a matter of difference."
If this is so then why protest or stop people like Adolf Hitler? If what he does is justified as being cultural relativism?does this really make his heinous atrociti right or good?

YES
You are being taught a LIE .......
Period !!
whether there is a God or Not ( tho i know there is )
whether one believes it or not
moraly....there still is
A GOOD
and
A BAD
there is
A RIGHT
and
A WRONG
And there are consequences to both
its not dictated by culture
its dictated by Life itself
One culture may teach murder is ok
but that SAME culture KNOWS it isnt !!!
Moraly , self persuaded and simple self conscience
tells you its wrong , whether the culture says it is ok or not !
So yeah what you are being taught is a LIE
There are ABSOLUTE RIGHTS
and
ABSOLUTE WRONGS
whether culture dictates it or not
and ones own self conscience
testifies to that very fact!!
Add the CREATOR whom created that conscience then you have perfect understanding of God Himself , by that conscience you were given..........which speaks to ALL of us..the character and righteousness of GOD.......the Creator
which forbides our own madness and foolishness.....by it.........except WE dont always Listen........we want it our own way....thus the conscience is overridden and the wisdom is then turned away from and FOOLISHNESS enters in..........thus the WRONG and the SIN...which seperates us from our Creator GOD !!!!!!!!
simple enough..just not many can see it
cause of its simplicity

I'm going to address your Adolf statement.
What he did was justified by cultural relativism, that's why he had many supporters that were a part of his culture and country.
I believe that if you were raised in that culture at that time, you might have also been a follower of Adolf. You cannot deny this because you never lived in that time period.
I'm not saying that genocides of that sort are okay, I'm just saying that, yes, some people followed because of their culture.
Let's flip the script. If you've ever swept dust and what not off your floor and not thrown it out of the back door, you are considered an evil and bad person in China, who washes away one's luck. To them, you are bad, to yourself, it's ordinary. It just depends on your culture. So yes, your morals are set by your culture. But do remember, religion is part of your culture.

So, What you are looking for is someone to say that what you BELIEVE Is the way things should be? Man, you sound so much like George Bush you scare me. Have you EVER considered that your beliefs might not be the way someone else believes? This country was founded by people RUNNING from the same kind of attitude in England, Germany and many other countries.

The only philosophy accepted in public schools is secular humanism. It excludes any beliefs that don't glorify man and his intelligence. I think this "cultural relativism" stems from secular humanism. They are allowed to teach this an anti-God teaching even though they claim it is unlawful to teach anything to do with God. I attribute the rise of Atheism today to secular humanism being subtley taught to our kids in schools.

Your question is addressed: Believers are WE being taught lies in our school? I think the answer is no. You can't teach an old dog new tricks. If someone is a true believer, then the holy spirit will stay guard over his heart and mind, freeing them from the corruption that has to date, engulfed almost every aspect of the public school systems of most modern societies.

What Hitler did ceased to be culturally relative the moment he invaded and subjugated someone else's culture.
Right and wrong has many shades of gray, but a good barometer is the age-old golden rule. Treat others how you wish to be treated.
Why this is so difficult for theists to understand is beyond me. We do not need divine guidance to figure out how to treat each other. We're grown-ups (most of us!)
Ideally, schools do not make moral judgments over historical events or cultural mores. They present facts, and leave it to the student to decide how they feel morally and ethically.

I agree with skipjack and betty.
How is it a lie, though, to try to teach children to be kind to one another?
I've taught for 26 years. Are you saying I am teaching a LIE by teaching The Golden Rule?

My opinion. I don't know any school that teaches anything so ridiculous. Good and evil are universal truths it has nothing to do with culture or religion.

Several things are taught that are incorrect. That's why parents must be on top of what kids are being taught. If necessary keep kids home during certain lessons or pull them out.
