Good question. In the bible, it says that earth will one day become close to pefection. Now, One might ask if that means all the current life will be swept away and another species are given a chance, or does it mean that the world will be peaceful and every human can live happily. I find it hard to agree with the second point. You will always get groups of people who disagree or fight against things...so truly I believe the human race will be wiped out.

Scientifically, if all goes as planned the earth wont come to an end for millions of years. But as humans, the world AS WE KNOW IT will come to an end. Nothing will be safe anymore... but I think when it reaches this point, it will just be like a reset. And something big will happen just like what happened with dinosaurs etc..

Please keep in mind this is just my opinion..I did some deep thinking.. but Im not trying to prove im right or wrong.

Even if every person on the planet died out in the next 10 years, the world would still be here. It's been here for billions of years and it has billions more to go before the sun eats up all of it's hydrogen and starts running on helium instead. When that happens, boom! It's a red giant instead of a nice yellow. There's still a bit of contention over whether or not the surface of the sun as a red giant will pass the Earth's orbit or whether it will expand until it's just shy of the Earth's orbit. In either case, the world will end because it won't be able to withstand the heat.

Nearly every generation has thought that current events indicated they were living near "the end of the world."

In the year 1000, a bunch of people panicked because they thought the world would end as the millennium changed. One guy jumped out of a tree and broke his neck trying to fly to heaven (so goes the legend).

I wouldn't pack your bags for the apocalypse just yet.

What current events? You cant just say the end of world is near without any proof. Many have done that before and were wrong every time.

People have been saying that throughout history. Every generation thinks they're living in the End Times. To me, it's comparable to the Boy Who Cried Wolf.

My sister-in-law, for as long as I've known her (16 years) has asked me at least once a month if I think her father is "near the end." For 16 years, she acts as if he's on the verge of death. One day, he will die, and I can just see her saying "I knew it was coming. I told you..." By then, we'll all just roll our eyes.

So you're saying the end of the world isn't soon, but actually 10 years away? I think that is pretty soon considering the world is 4 and a half billion years old.

It could be the end of the world for Christians if Rapture takes place and they all disappear. Brother Camping of Family Radio says it will happen in 2012. [Wouldn't that be wonderful?]. (Meek) Muslims would probably inherit the Earth.

First of all there will be no end that's a myth, you can only imagin the life you have created in the present, and your future lives will be the same.
