First, I am taking my son to the doctor, I would not consider this to be a substiute for medical advice, just curious thats why I am posting here. My son is 14, average height, but complains about 3 times a week that he is achy........He is athletic, average weight. He was perfect in height and weight at his last doc visit. He has been very active, but since he aches he has slowed down some. Just curious if others has had these symptoms with their growing pains.

Yes, it's possible that this could be related to growing pains but there is another possibility (just to pass on in case the doctor should possibly mention this) for this pain. They are starting to find more and more children having fibromyalgia which can cause achiness among other symptoms.
