What you will need:

2 freezer bags (one has to be smaller then the other one)

In the small freezer bag:

2 tablespoons vanilla extract
200 ml (1 cup) of milk
2 tablespoons sugar
50 g (4 tablespoons) pure cream (18% milk also used in coffee)

In the big freezer bag:

25 ice cubes (if big cubes put 15, if small put 25)
5 tablespoons iodized salt (if normal salt, put in 10 tbsp)

Gather all ingredients.
Put the ingredients in each bag as specified. After, close the small bag, sealing well so that there are no leaks, and put it into the big bag.

Mix the contents of the bags well for at least 10-15 minutes. It should be thick and creamy. If so, then remove contents of inner bag and serve.

If the inner bag's contents are still liquid, put some more ice cubes and salt in the outer back and rub the two of the bags together longer.

You can use an ice cream freezer and follow the directions or use sweetened condensed milk and make it in your refrigerator freezer. This recipe is for plain vanilla and makes about 3 pints.
Before beginning, chill your mixing bowls and the beaters. It helps when whipping the cream

Combine in a large glass or metal bowl:
1 can Eagle brand sweetened condensed milk
1 C. water
2 tsps. vanilla extract
Place in your refrigerator for about 45 minutes to chill thoroughly.
In a separate bowl, beat:
2 C. heavy cream (use 36% milkfat or higher)
Beat until it has a custard-like consistency or until about double in volume.
Fold into the chilled mixture and pour into a large metal bowl or a couple of old metal ice cube trays with the dividers removed. Cover with waxed paper and place in the freezer compartment. Freeze for about an hour, until it is a firm mush. Break up with a fork and beat with a chilled beater until fluffy, but NOT melted. Return to freezer quickly, covering again with waxed paper. Freeze until firm.
You can store this after thoroughly frozen in an airtight plastic container.

Ice cream makers are very inexpensive these days... I don't regret having one. I keep the "bowl" always frozen in my freezer downstairs so I can make any type of ice cream 30 min. before I want it.

These usually come with recipie books, but it is very easy to dump some frozen fruit into the blender (buy bags of frozen peaches, strawberries, etc..) - add half cream and half milk (try reduced fat cream, it still works but real cream tastes better of course) and sugar. (just look up any recipie).

Pour this into the ice cream maker and in 30-40 min. you can serve it. Easy.
