That's because it is a Jewish book, and that's what the Jews call it. Christians don't get to just storm in and rename whatever they want.
For further example, there never were such things as "pagans." There are good people who worshipped the Egyptian religion, the Greek religion, the Celtic religion and the Scandanavian religion. They were not the same thing and are not to be grouped together under some label that a bunch of fanatics assigned to them.

Tenakh means ten. We have the new testament so the Tenakh becomes the old testament. Nothing was changed.

Tanakh is Hebrew, OT is English. What's in a name? The essence is the same. Don't get hung up on sematics.

The Tanakh refers to them as "pagans", therefore so will I.
