Can you separate them into different rooms with different toys?
Play outside? Like, play tag - let them run like heck if the back yard is fenced in, it'll help.
Boys will be boys though, and they will wrestle and play rough, that's just the way it is - some girls even play that way.
do they have inflatable balls? let them throw them at each other outside - that won't hurt them.
Good luck!
Also, DON"T give them any sugar - that will make it soooo much worse!

Find a nice kids movie, see if they have an DVD's around. The four year old should be able to tell you what they watch. Tell, them if they don't stop you are going to give them a time out.

I personally do not believe in hitting children, especially other people's children, there are more rational ways, to deal with their behavior. Tell their parents, when they return. Next time, think twice before you agree to babysit, so you won't have to go thru this again.

Well I know how it feels to have kids fighting..
2 and 3 year old..

When they start to fight over a toy and I tell them to stop and one of them finds a new toy.. if they keep up the toy they are fighting over gets TAKEN AWAY.

If they are hitting each other give them a time out. Children need boundaries. Talk to the parents if you are the regular sitter and make sure its okay to give timeouts.. use them!

Find a movie or game to calm them.. With younger kids matching a deck of cards is fun.. even if its boring to us adults.. lol my kids love matching cards.. the numbers and colors..

Hope it helps
