"Normal" kids can have motor skills impairments, such as cerebral palsy. Many people don't realize that a child can look and develop "normally" and still have a delay or diagnosis like that. If your daughter is nearly a year an a half old and cannot even sit up, you need to first switch doctors (your doctor should have caught this a LONG time ago) and get her evaluated ASAP. What your daughter is exhibiting is very atypical development. You should also call your state's Early Intervention office. Your daughter should qualify for free, in - home therapy until she turns 3. You can get the number from your pediatrician, and EI will do a free, in - home evaluation. Please don't wait; your daughter needs help to catch up developmentally.

Babys usually learn to sit up between 6 and 8 months
Some skip crawling all together but should be walking by a year and six months

I hope this isn't a real question. You have an 18 month old who doesn't sit, crawl or walk. Has she seen a doctor at any time? If not you must get her to a doctor because something is wrong.

Your daughter is 18 months old? I think you should see a pediatrician right away if not an emergency room doctor. This is definitely NOT normal, and you could be charged with negligence if you've not had her to the doctor for her immunizations, at which time they would have observed a problem. What planet are you from again?

If she doesnt sit yet - you need to talk to a doctor.
I could understand not walking yet - some don't walk until 2, but sitting is supposed to come around 6 - 10 months of age.

what does that your doctor say?
I would certainly talk to a doctor about it. I have a 7 month old who started sitting up and crawling at 5 months. I don't think that it is unheard of, but certainly later than most.
Best of luck.

not at all not at all not at all challenge while there is just one or 2 milestones that your toddler isn't attaining, adults attain their targets on their very own time and so do toddlers. It not at all hurts to communicate to a doctor approximately those issues however because of the fact they are meant to be the experts. that's good that he likes tummy time, they say that this will strengthen his muscle tissue (in spite of the undeniable fact that I not at all used it and my toddler did alright). My son began to do the "commando circulate slowly" this is what you reported while he replace into 8 months previous. He did the rocking for a month or so till now he began to commando circulate slowly, he purely mandatory to get the braveness to furnish it a attempt. he's now almost eleven months and nonetheless alternates between the crawls finding on how without postpone he desires to get someplace. you are able to play a activity with him and pretend to chase him, this could motivate his little techniques to click into authentic crawling, it did for my son. He did no longer initiate "sitting on his very own" till he replace into around 7 months, attempt sitting in the back of him including your legs up on the two section fidgeting with a toy and save putting him rapidly each time he leans to the section, I did this for some weeks and while he found out that mummy replace into no longer doing it for him, he did it on his very own. Get him regarded at on your individual peace of techniques, yet I relatively would not positioned too lots rigidity on your self. I even have 3 acquaintances with toddlers between 4 and 9 weeks older than my son and that they enormously lots reached the comparable milestones as my son did at greater or less the comparable situations.

You need to get your daughter to the doctor immediately! I can't believe that you've gone this long without taking her! If it was just a matter of walking efficiently, I'd say, MAYBE give her some time, but if she honestly can't even sit up then you're dealing with MAJOR issues, including cerebral palsy, tumors, epilepsy. Take her to the doctor immediately.

What does your doctor say??? 18 months old and not even sitting unassisted? You should really talk to your doctor, I have never heard of such a thing except from someone who adopted a baby from Romania years ago and he was extremely neglected. I would be very concerned if this was my child. Please see the baby's peditrician asap! Good luck!

If she can not sit, crawl, or walk, there is something developmentally wrong with her. You need to take her to her pediatrician to have her acessed. Just because she reacts normally, doesn't mean that there isn't some type of misconnect somewhere.
