How does one really know, what is real love or full blown obsession?

love comes from your soul and consumes your mind obsession comes from your mind and consumes nothing some one in love that feels love in return is happy and the love grows strong some one that is obsessed that is loved back loses interest if you are in love and no love is returned you will lose interest but don't show love to someone that is obsessed and the obsession grows love is a partnership obsession is a dictatorship and infatuation is a term that can describe both love and obsession love is you you you obsession is me me me communication is a tool that is very important to determine which is which some one in love will openly communicate with you some one that is obsessed wont because weather they realize it or not they have something to hide someone that is obsessed has no trust and must control everything a person that shares true love with another does not feel this way for example the o type calls you up to see WHAT you are doing the L type calls you to see HOW you are doing i don't know about you but i personally am obsessed with love and that's a whole other set of rules so good luck and best wishes

Real love is when someone will give their life for you, from sharing your innermost hopes and dreams to taking out the garbage. Knowing the very worst of you and loving you anyway.
Infatuation and obsession is like seeing only the positives of someone, that can never last. Love is a choice, not a feeling, and it takes time.

Love = you want them to be happy whether they give you anything in return or not.
Infatuation = you want them for yourself, and you think about that before you think about what's best for the other person.

Time.....that will tell you better than anything else. If it's true love, your heart will tell you so....but still takes time to tell the difference sometimes.
