what should i get...i'm 21 and graduating from college in a year and a half so i will either keep the car for professional urposes or trade it in for a new lease when i get out of school

i say anything that you can afford to make the monthly payments and get good gas mileage on it. this day and age, gas alone with kill you. i wouldnt go with Ford. they are good cars, but you dont see those models that much on the road. also, DO NOT LEASE!!!! buy the car!!! it will make it easier for you and on your credit...congrats!!!! get a honda!!! they are really really good cars and they last forever!!! thats what i should of got :-( but i am happy and grateful for what i got!!!
im 24 and i just bought myself a 2008 chevy cobalt and i love it!!! i can make the payments and its really good on gas!!!

don't buy new. Let someone else wear the new car smell out and save yourself the several thousand dollar difference. If you get something around 2006 or so you'll likely save half the cost and still get a car that's worth something and will last you a long time.
Also, car questions shouldn't go in the dating section ;)

If you want a car that will hold it value and be very dependable .. please get yourself a Honda you won't regret it... read Consumer Reports ... they have nothing but great things to say... I have had 4 over the years .. past them down and was able to pay off my home.. 12 yrs. earlier.....Just something to think about....

go with a japanese car they will last alot longer.
