I have only one tattoo, so all I can say is that having a 3" Masonic Square and Compasses tattooed on my right inner forearm was nearly painless.

Definitely where the skin is thicker. I've got one that starts on the top of my foot and wraps up my ankle. The top of the foot hurt the most (thinner skin, close to bone) and the part that's on my leg hardly felt like anything but scratching. Good luck!

places where the skin is thickest. although its all up to your pain tolerance... i have one on my wrist that didn't hurt that much, but its the only one i have so i can't really give you a complete pesonal experience answer.

i have 4 all in different places,,,,neck hurt like hell the back of neck,, very tender, breast hurt too,,shoulder wasnt as bad, and underside of wrist was nothing at all
