No, that was a person with an incredible amount of pain that does not wish to suffer alone. Give her a few years and she may grow into a troll. I believe the breeding is there.

She's just a kid. A troll is someone who deliberately posts things that will incite hatred. This is a troll.

No, she is not. She is just trying to ask help. ( And, you did not ask my opinion about that, but I tell you that you were unnecessarily mean to that girl with your answer )

I have been called troll many occasions and I can see why it happens. I like to question particular religion's doctrines. However, I also get a lot of positive feedback, more positive than negative.

There are a lot of characters who actually could be called trolls, but I find many of them interesting and not trolls at all. So this troll thing is also an opinion. Like this your case. I do not think you are trolling, I think that you can be so grumpy though.

It is usually a question coming from a Level 1 Account whose only purpose is to cause disruption or to be rude to a particular group of people. That isn't an example of a troll question.

Troll is an internet term... means someone who puts in inflammatory remarks in order to get a rise out of people and thus- amuse themselves. (Troll accounts are usually Level 1 and/or have been created in the last 24 hrs).

The person asking the question is not a troll in your example.

A trollish question:
"Why are Christians so stupid?"

A trollish answer:
"Because atheists men all speak with a lisp!!!"
(Francine is one of the usual trolls on R&S... these are the kinds of statements she makes.)

At first glance I'd say no. A troll is someone who intentionally asks controversial questions to get a rise or pretends to be something they are not and asks a ridiculous question that makes their opposition look bad.

A troll is one that asks insulting question on purpose, or acts like they are a member of another group with the intent of discrediting that group.

I wouldn't call her a troll. There are things I would call her, but my answer would be deleted if I did.

I'm probably considered one then because I answered a bunch of question with the word "die" just to get to level 2 without having to wait so that I could thumbs up or down answers :) Hahaha :).

No, I think she's serious. A troll is someone who is being ingenuous and just trying to rile people up.
