If humans come from Adam and Eve, how do you explain the different races?

well, there are answers to this. i'm not saying they're GOOD answers, but they're enough to convince many people. generally speaking, it's supposed that adam and eve contained within them a large variety of genes, which is technically not impossible by itself (as i said, this is enough for many people). these ideas run counter to other ideas about adam and eve being perfect (to the extent that it's possible to decipher what 'perfect' means), there is very little in the way of evidence to support them, and anyway there was not enough time for genetic recombination to produce the variety we see today. it's a little like creationists are saying that we could have had all the playing cards in the deck right at the start, but even so there is no way they could have been shuffled so fast that we see the patterns we do now. failing any non-miraculous explanation, they can of course always invoke miracles. so they can explain anything... "in fact, every single person alive today is descended from a single woman in africa who lived a hundred and fifty thousand years ago." this is roughly true if i recall correctly, but incomplete and could be misleading. there is no reason to suppose that she was ALONE. there were probably thousands of others alive at the time, it is just that none of them have living descendants today. this sort of situation is inevitable as time progresses. analyses of human genetic diversity suggest that the population size hasn't dropped below about a thousand individuals for a hundred thousand years, even in the most dire catastrophes.

Only one race, human. Natural selection over time to suit environments created different looking peoples.

People became different in color and features as groups separated. It would start to limit the variation of genetic material over time within small groups unless they brought others into their group. As tribes or family units grew there would be a drain on resources and often a small group would break away to travel elsewhere, repeat, repeat, etc. This would also of course explain all the many different languages. These groups over many years would adapt to their environments. Those people living near the equator would need more melanin for protection from the sun. Those people living far north would need protection from the sun too. Since it was very cold they didn't need darker skin, but eyes that were better suited to combat the glaring sun on snow and bitter winds. They also needed a fat layer to survive the harsh winters. If you look at the Inuit peoples today you can see how their bodies have adapted to their northern environment. If you look at the peoples of equatorial Africa you can see how their bodies developed to their environment. Those are just two examples. There are no different 'races' just genetics and natural selection, with mutation thrown in every so often.

The Bible tells us how the population that descended from Noah’s family had one language and by living in one place were disobeying God’s command to ‘fill the earth’ (Genesis 9:1, 11:4). God confused their language, causing a break-up of the population into smaller groups which scattered over the earth (Genesis 11:8-9). Modern genetics show how, following such a break-up of a population, variations in skin color, for example, can develop in only a few generations. There is good evidence that the various people groups we have today have not been separated for huge periods of time.

After the Tower of Babel incident in the bible the different races began to form. Remember that at that time all the contenants were one. Then after they had dispersed the techtonic plates broke apart. This is how America as we know it today and all the other countries were formed. Their were people on all continants. Dont beleive that Columbus disocovered America. Think about this, If you took a picture of yourself right now and then went tanning everyday for a year you would see a dramatic difference in your skin pigment. Your body adapts to its enviroment. Now, In the colder climates you have lighter skin tones and in the tropics you have darker skin tones. its just common sense to see how this happened. the facial features where developed over time by the types of foods eaten in the different areas of the world according to where they were located. The types of foods found in the tropics are not the same types of foods eaten in the colder climates. Just remember this, all it boils down to is our DNA and we were made in Gods image and thats all that matters. We all have the same skin pigment just different amounts of it. Anything else taught is Blasphemy.

If we descended from Adam and Eve, it would be impossible to explain the races. If you believe the Bible literally, there is historical fact to prove the Sumerians were brewing beer 5000 years before Adam and Eve, and Adam's first wife Lillith. Beer was a pretty well kept secret. heh?

Presumably they diversified after the expulsion. However,it is important to bear in mind that all this is merely jewish mythology; if it sounds a great deal like Greek mythology that is because all ancient mythologies had the same basic qualities - by today's standards,kind of a storybook feel. In any event,it is apparently important to jews and fundies to believe this nonsense.
