Sure. There are lots of "one true faiths". Let's see here... Christianity is "the one true faith". Catholicism is as well. Oh, and Islam is of course the "one true faith".

No. As you factor out, the state of religion on earth makes it fantastically not likely that anybody of them could nicely be the genuine faith. I propose, if one faith somewhat had God in its corner, does not the full worldwide beat a direction to its church homes? Any connection with "faith" under ability the Abrahamic religions (Judaism, Christianity and Islam) this is my good judgment approximately this . . . faith tries to place declare to God. This insistence on exclusivity units up religions for rivalry except or till they convert the finished worldwide – thereby removing the competition. that's the reason, i think, those religions wait for the tip-time while God will ultimately do the removing. that's a forgone end that no single faith (much less, denomination!) will win the worldwide by utilising itself. even with each and every thing, they have had between a million,4 hundred and 3,500 years (Islam and Judaism, respectively) to realize this and have not made any actual progression. Christianity, with over 2 billion adherents, leads the %. yet Islam, at a million.3 billion, is coming near solid (back). even with being many centuries older than Christianity or Islam, Judaism has purely 14 million adherents. If ANY faith somewhat is the right one, i don't think the competition might have survived this long. Given all this . . . how are we meant to decide on which faith, if any, is optimal? I propose, incredibly!! the 1st one? the biggest one? the main state-of-the-artwork one? the main sensible one? What? the competition reduces our option to a roll of the cube. And we are going to bypass to hell for choosing the incorrect one? it incredibly is ridiculous. Can God incredibly be so sadistic? And if so, why might you worship him? No . . . NO faith could nicely be valid if God exists AND is sturdy. Any entity who could desire to create the universe, does not be so petty as to establish his "clever" beings for condemnation. Why might the author provide us unfastened selection, purely to confuse the selection of author? I say that if God exists, ALL religions are heretical. If God is sturdy, we does not be killing one yet another in His call. interior the paraphrased words of Stephen Roberts: "I contend that we are the two anti-faith. I only have faith in one fewer faith than you do. once you recognize why you push aside all the different possible religions, you will understand why I push aside yours." i think God could desire to, or might, exist; yet i'm particular that NO faith is valid.

My personal opinion is there is no such thing as religion. There's the earth and the living creatures on it.

But just because I believe it, doesn't mean it's true.

There definitely is NO one true faith, it's what you believe. People who tell you there is only one true religion are not wise enough to open their minds and see things from other peoples views

Yes, the truth. Religion was invented by humans and honestly it does not impress God too much. We are all here on earth to learn and experience for God because believe it or not we are God. But don't believe anything u hear. Not even this. If u have any doubt, research, find ur own truth, because it will make u grow immensely. That's what life is about, growing in spirituality. Don't get all hung up with religions, that's not what it is about, if anything that can stunt your spiritual growth. Just search for ur own truth and if it feels right in ur soul, it is most likely right. Just listen to ur heart. U will know the right answers when you here them. Don't let anyone tell u what to believe or what religion to be. Just try to help people and be the best person u can be, and learn all that u can, that's what life is about!

I happen to be a believer but I don't think that there is One True Faith and I do consider the possibility that I may be wrong.
Hard for me to believe that there could only be one for 6 billion people from all parts of the world and all the different cultures and languages.
I do think there is one God but I think the way He is worshiped will be taken into account by God himself and I can go about the business of living without trying to control those other 5,999,999,999 people.
Each major belief has had it's own one major prophet, each of whom appeared at a different time in a different part of the world to a different people and culture in a different language and all brought basically the same message: worship God (life) and love one another to the best of our ability.
Could all these great prophets have been the same person in a different incarnation to bring the same message to all these different types of people?
I ask you.

Blech. This is a messy question, and thus has a bit of a messy answer.

I believe that Christianity is the one true faith, and, as an extension of that, Catholicism is the best way to attain the saving grace of God through Jesus.

But if you ask a Muslim the same question, they'll say "Yes, and that religion is Islam."

Ask a Jew and they'll say, "Yes, and that faith is Judaism."

I, personally, have no idea what God's stance would be. Would he damn followers of these religions because they do not believe in Jesus? Would he accept them into heaven because they believed in God, even though according to Christianity they were misguided? I don't know. All of them believe themselves to be the best, correct way to God, but obviously they can't all be.

So I think that there is, but it's really a personal thing as to if it exists, and if so, what it is.

Lidybeff;
Such heavy subjects today.....
All the same.
A study of all major faiths or religions will show you that they are all based on love.
1) Love of God for human
2) Love of humans for God and others.

So we will be really quite correct to assume that the only true faith will be a faith based on LOVE.
Without love, religion means nothing.

If you were born in another country, in another time, you'd believe in another religion. Or you'd dismiss it and possibly be shunned or killed by those very people.

You ever joined a clan or a gang? Religion is exactly that, but with the added bonus that you cannot be wrong under any circumstances and that you can scare people with eternal damnation if they don't agree and join you.

So it's not exactly surprising that we have an awful lot of different religions, everyone likes power, everyone likes to be right. Arrogance masked as piety.

As a side-note: have you ever noticed the Christians lurking on the mental illness boards, waiting to pounce on the vulnerable with lengthy quotes from the Bible that they have ready to paste in? It makes me absolutely sick to my stomach. Vultures. If you see them, report them, their damaging nonsense WILL be removed.

the bible says: "pure religion... is to visit the fatherless and widows in their affliction..." don't know the exact chapter and verse, but that is basically what it says about religion, so i am left to think that if a person is compassionate and giving and willing to help orphans and those widowed then they are practicing pure religion. all the other issues are merely academic... as far as faith goes, faith is way more than a belief system... because disillusionment happens when a belief system is exposed to be untrue... which is a good thing because then truth can be (hopefully) found out.

Did you notice the answers that said "YES" to your question all had many thumbs down?? Interesting. The thumbs up came for the comments that said all religion is the same or there is no right one.

If you compare the teachings with what are in the Bible, You will see most so called christian religions are FALSE.

PS...Well said papa

Not a chance, and it is likely none of them are even close to right.

The only true spiritualism is in the heart and mind of the individual, and that is really where you love, and worship, not in these "tinsel palaces" everyone thinks attracts "God".

Faith is a way to help us ignore the unexplainable, that is all.
