A couple of years ago, I had a root canal done on one of my teeth. They put an ivory cap over it but now it keeps coming loose whenever I eat.

I really can't afford dental insurance right now so going to see a dentist is really expensive. I was wondering if anyone knows of something I can do myself to keep it from popping up.

You've heard the adage: a stitch in time saves nine. Get it fixed now before the crown or the tooth breaks. If decay develops under the crown, you have to get it re-prepped, for the former crown won't fit.

You yourself, and any non-dental friends will never get the tooth dry enough to get any adhesive to stick, including super glue. See a dentist, pay the money.

Mine came loose before and I didn't want to go back to the same dentist. If I had went back to him he would not have charged me because he did the cap. My new dentist with no insurance only charged me $20. Well worth it.

made an appointment, you could lose the crown
If you use some sort of temporary cement, it could leak and the tooth may decay or even break.
Don't wait too long, go while you still have options
