I ask because I hear that a lot of Brits are moving to the US to escape all the immigration problems the UK is facing.

Ironically though, I also hear that a lot of Americans are immigrating to the UK or other European nation to escape the immigration problems the US is facing also.

So it's like, you move away from one country to get away from the immigration crisis, just to end up in another country facing the same type of problem just in a different place and dealing with different illegal immigrants but who cause the same problems nonetheless (not assimilating, refusing to learn English, leechng off the system, having more kids than they can count, calling anyone who opposes their actions 'racist', etc.)

Again, I don't know if all of this is completely accurate, it's just the things I've been hearing lately.

I don't know if that's true or not.But i would much rather Americans immigrating to the UK then some of the scum bags that come here, don't get me wrong some of the immigrants can be a asset to the country but others just see the UK as a easy touch that will give them money and a home.
The part of London that i come from has gone from being quite a nice area to a **** hole over the past few years since the area saw large numbers of immigrants moving in!
And it's true if you openly object to something they do your branded a racist, its funny how white people can be racist and get done for it but other races can say what they like about white people and f**k all happens to them!

I don't think that there is going to be a mass exodus to the UK from the USA soon. Both countries are having the same problems of massive illegal immigration, low birth rates of the native population, overpopulation, a large population of Muslims that can be directed towards violence against the natives, and weak leaders that do nothing about those problems.

I believe that more white Americans will be leaving for Australia where they are trying to remain a Western nation.

No one is going to move across an ocean to escape "immigration problems". I don't know where you heard this. What type of immigration problem would cause someone to do this? You can always move to a more expensive neighborhood if you want to.

Lots of Brits say they want to emmigrate because of all the immigration. Few actually do.

It is ironic that they wish to go to go from a country where most people have emmigrated in over 1000s of years to one with a much shorter history.

The problem with the "racist" issue is very few anti-immigration viewpoints are expressed in calm terms like yours. Not all anti-immigration viewpoint is racist but any expressed in heated, angry or hysterical terms usually has a level of bigotry at the heart of it.

And I think we are too sensitive about racism. Actually that's not correct- we are too insensitive, we can't make a differentiation between a racially motivated killing, and a mildly ignorant viewpoint, you point out racism people react like they've been accused of mass torture.

While it is true that much of the anti-immigrant hysteria isn't racist, it does stem in fear, ignorance and hatred. If you have a view that is hate based and untrue ("Britian is full" or "Most of them are sponging of benefits meaning I get none") Xenophobia is as bad as racism, and the word racism has evolved to refer to all xenophobia.

I must pick you up on the last sentence. Don't rely on what you hear. Gossip is usually distorted, any grain of truth left mangled and broken.

I haven't noticed more Americans (USA) coming to UK. USA is a richer and more successful country. It's now the only super-power, and the only country that can really compete with new markets like China & Russia. Relatively speaking, much of Europe is still developing (Romania, Poland, etc) thanks to war and communism. I think Americans come here to work for a few years maybe, but few come to live permanently.

Americans migrating to UK is most natural. The present day Americans (Whites) are decendants of people who migrated from UK to America.Infact UK is the inherited/ancestral land of americans.USA is not facing the problem of migrants ,as job opportunities are still there, whereas UK is stagnant.I think migration from USA to UK will be very less as US is much well of than UK in all aspects.
The words "illegal migrants" itself is incorrect. If any body enters UK without valid documents,he can deported from airport or seaport. He will not be allowed to touch the land.If illegal immigration is still there,it may be due to corrupt immigration officials.

If as an American you make the choice to live in another country, are you not then part of the problem you are trying to escape?
if you make this choice to live outside of your country does this not make you am immigrant?

There's no western country left to run to, the USA, Commonwealths, Europe, Scandinavia. It's all for nothing. The leaders in all the western countries over the past couple of decades have simultaneously done the exact same thing to all of our western countries. Makes you wonder.
