I don't have the greatest credit & have a couple credit card debts I want to get rid off. I received a letter for both of them today and if I can get them paid off by the end of the month, the debt will be removed from my credit report.
Is it possible to get approved for a small loan, maybe 2-3 thousand dollars with a less than perfect credit score?
I'm really eager to fix these stupid financial mistakes I made as a teenager...

Thanks!

Well, I guess the first thing to think about is what kind of financial situation are you in now. As in, do you make enough money to pay the monthly payment on a consolidation loan? Consolidation loans can be a useful tool to help your credit if used correctly. I would recommend going to your bank and sitting down with a loan advisor, and be sure to bring all of your financial information with you. Like, credit card bills, bank statements, and pay stubs. You should be able to get approved for a consolidation loan from a financial institution, just be careful not to run those cards back up again once they are paid off, otherwise you will have twice as much debt. Good luck to you. Let me know if you have any more questions.
