Your mind cannot stand the Light and Glory of God, like plugging in a 110v appliance into a 220v outlet. Also, although it's Hindu and not Christian, check out the Bhagavad Gita, chapter 11. Krishna, the avatar of the god Vishnu, gives the hero Arjuna "divine eyes" with which to see Krishna in his true form. It's quite beautiful and incredible the author captured Arjuna's awe from beauty and awe from fear.

Because Jehovah God is abundant dynamic energy.
He created the Sun,the atom.
How much energy is contained in just those two creations?
The Bible tells us that Moses got to see the back of God.ie. the after glory of God and when he came back down off the mountain, his face was all burnt.
We just could not get close enough to Jehovah God and still live.

If, as many mystics believe, we take God to be a projection of our own divine nature, i.e. we are ultimately not separate from or other than God, then "seeing God" could be understood as seeing our own divine nature. Such penetrative insight into our own divine nature and the nature of the universe would necessarily lead to a killing off of our former conception of ourselves as separate from and other than the divine. So, seeing God, i.e. seeing our divine nature and oneness with the divine, can be understood as killing off our ignorant notions of a smaller self as separate from God.

He has the power to create the world and every thing in the universe. Do you think he would be like looking at a light bulb? I dont think we will ever see the complete fullness of God it would probably dissolve us.

Because God wouldn't show himself, and explain without killing someone 2007 years ago how a gun works, it is just immpossible. Or explain to him how a gas chamber works, I doubt he will believe you

no man can see the face of God and live. you will die and return to God or go to hell if your not saved.
standing in front of God is like standing in front of a atomic bomb, actually it is greater. read the bible and see for yourself.
that's why Gods glory is always veiled in the bible, thats just a small portion of his glory, the bible says the elements will melt heaven and earth will flee from him, oh my only if you could comprehand the power of God.

Because we are so unworthy and dirty in our sinful state, seeing God face to face would overwhelm both physically and spiritually the sinful person.
