You bet. Remember, the body only speaks a lie, for it is not intelligence and can't dictate terms to you. Wait patiently. It will be well worth it, even though the human thought doubts it and proposes "its" agenda hourly for your approval.

If you want a good man, and all the other rewards, yes.
I am a minister now, and due to that I can only marry a virgin. Being 38, I highly doubt that is gonna happen now in my life. I'm content with that, as I would rather serve YHWH than be married. But it would of been nice to have a wife at my side during my work and life.
Since you are 25, start looking at those graduating theology colleges, etc. You'll find a good man and he'll appreciate the fact you hold a V card.

It depends on your reason for keeping your virginity. If it's for religious reasons, be true to what you believe and stay a virgin.

I'm in an interesting place to answer that question. I wasn't a virgin when I got married, I never planned on "saving" myself until I got married. However, my husband is the only man I've ever had sex with. And looking back at it, I realize that I am very lucky that it happened this way.
I had been planning to have sex with my first boyfriend. He dumped me before it could happen however. In hindsight, that is probably one of the best things that happened in my life. If I had lost my virginity to him, when he did dump me it would have been even harder. I also came to understand that if I had married him, it would have been a bad thing. He wasn't a good fit for me.
It wasn't long after meeting my husband that I knew I wanted to marry him. Because I loved him and felt that I could trust him and felt that even if he did later leave me I wouldn't regret sleeping with him, I did.
It was totally the right decision for me because I don't think we would have lasted if we didn't have sex before marriage. We met in 2000 and finally got married in 2006. I don't think we would have lasted 6 years without having sex. I also don't think it would have been right for us to get married right away just so we could have sex. I think that would have strained the relationship.
In short, I had sex with him because I felt I could trust him to never intentionally hurt me. That's the most I feel you can ask for anyone.
One pro about me waiting for the right man (even though I slept with him before we got married) My husband is the best sex I've ever had. I have friends who have had issues with that...."Gee I like him but so and so was so wonderful in bed."
Two things I'd like to bring up about waiting until the honeymoon. The first few times I had sex it was awkward, it takes a few tries to get the hang of it and have it be really enjoyable. Also, on my wedding night I was so tired it made it difficult to enjoy sex and my husband said it was difficult for him to perform. It's important that your partner be patient and attentive for your first time.

I don't think so. I think a grown-up adult, mature woman in 2007 (almost 2008) has to learn to negotiate sexual relationships on *her* terms. It doesn't mean you run out there and sleep around. It means YOU choose. Now you do see many women with 0 self-respect who reduce themselves to the level of a blow-up doll and that is sad. But if the situation feels right to you, it is YOUR choice...sex is a natural, human drive and it is unrealistic to hold a natural human drive back.
For a long time, it has been swell for men to have sexual partners before marriage, but not the *women*. Think about who is in charge here when it comes to this philosophy and *your* body.

If you have chosen to remain a virgin to this point, may I suggest you revisit your decision and renew your reasons. Yes, it is worth it providing the reasons are worth it. Only you know the answer to that question. God Bless. Keep the faith.

You will be more depressed if you lose your virginity to lust rather than holding on to it for love. A woman holding on to her virginity until married is the only way she will test the commitment of the men that come into her life. The one that is also a virgin and is willing to also wait for sex until marriage is the one that waiting made it worthwhile.

noree.... listen to your heart, not your body. your body isn't craving it - your mind is. i say this only becuase you body doesn't know what it is - tankfully. it's not easy and may i say quite bluntly - once you give it up - no matter how long you remain celibate after - you will never get it back and it's only harder. foolishly i gave it up thinking "i was in love" -- HAH little did i know.
email me more if you'd like to chat a little more openly. while this is anonmyous there are still some things not for an open forum ; )

Noree, only you can tell if a sexual relationship is right for you. There are many people who marry as virgins that are happy. There are many people who marry as non-virgins that are happy. There are many people who marry as virgins that are unhappy. There are many people who marry as non-virgins who are unhappy.
If you are honest with yourself, your heart will tell you what is right for you. Listen to it.

Honey, you have hung in there for 25 years. DONT GO RUIN YOUR TRACK RECORD! You will probably marrie in the next five years or so, so then all this waiting will have been in vain! and you will regret it!
You deserve to give it to somebody who loves you - on your wedding night! You are every bit worth it.

Depends.
Do you want to stay true to your religion (assuming your religion prohibits premaritial sex)?
Or do you want to give in to your instincts?
It's you life, and therefore your choice.
