if you plan to stay less than 90 days, you don't need a visa.. if you plan to stay longer u need a visa.. B-2 visas last 6 months. If your coming here and plan to change u're status you cannot travel on a 90 day visa waiver.. a visa waiver means that u must leave the US no matter what before 90 days is up.

As an Italian citizen you do not need a visa, just a passport. If you've ever been deported or removed from the United States you WILL need a visa.

As you have previously been married to an American and did not Adjust Status you will have to apply for a visa.

if just on vacation - you will need a passport

Ask your passport department in Italy what you will need -
and they wil probably ask you how long you will stay-blah blah blah

They should have the correct information for you!
